(QUESTIONS❓) Complete noob VS Big Boyz

Heyo BHWers. While I'm high on coffee and chocolate let me share my questions to you. I am complete noooblet, I built an agency with over 30k MRR (currently at 7k) but all with paid ads, no SEO.

Now things are going south so decided to get into SEO and increase organic traffic. Also tired of paid traffic, it lasts until I pay... (booooring)

Some of my questions: (Whoever answers let your god give you unlimited supply of cookies and Benjamins)

I have no blog, this being said I am planning to create one, but I have dilemma/s.

Question numero uno:
Should I build new blog on Webflow (thats where I have current website) OR create ghost.org blog with SUB domain? Does it matter? Please advice BHWenioeros.

Question numero dos:
When blog is up and running, should I blast it with normal quality, content? or its better to write few but 2000-2500 words+ ?

Question numero tres:
When I write blogs, should I get backlinks for that blog link or landing page?

Question numero four:
I've seen plenty PBN, backlink sellers, besides doing it right way and reaching out to others, do you suggest using ones which are offered on platform ? If DR is low will it effect us positively ?

Question numero five:
OK, lets say I have blog, content, and backlinks, what else do I need to rank higher? better? stronger?

Question numero six:
Competing with big guys. OK in a nutshell none of my competitors are playin A game SEO wise but they have 2-3K more backlinks overall. Niche is also competitive. Will blogs have any results ? what I mean is will I waste my time working on blog or sooner or later I will get more traction ? lets say 10+ unique blogs per month, with 100 new backlink, also per month.

Question numero seven:
Besides keyword research, any idea where I can get ideas about what should I write about? Like titles ? Questions ? Can I find that info on Ahrefs? I mean I know I can but writing about exact same thing will work ? Not copying 1:1 but having quite similar topic (plagiarism free fosho)

Question numero eight (last but not least):
If I've should asked something and I didn't please please please for sake of cookies and benjis gimme tips on what should I spent most of my time with.

buy your own domain and build your blog on your domain, either on the domain itself if you're going the blogging route (although, this doesn't look very professional for an agency), or on a subdomain (blog.domain.com) or sub-folder (domain.com/blog)

I'll admit that I have no idea what webflow or ghost.org are, nor am I curious enough to look them up, all I know is that every serious business has its own domain name, it doesn't rely on 3rd party websites to host their business, so start here

Depends on your strategy and the competition for the keywords you're targeting.

If you go for long tail keywords and question-type keywords writing 2500 words articles might not be needed. But if you want to rank for keywords with high search volumes (and especially if you're in a tough industry like business, travel, medical, banking, web hosting, SEO, loans, insurance, etc...) then not even 2500 words might be enough. You might want to write 5000-6000 words long articles, and even then it might not be enough because these niches are taken by companies with deep pockets (millions of $$$ available for SEO, and you simply can't compete with them without a strong brand and domain name)

Just choose your strategy and check the pages ranking in top 10 of google and see what kind of content and backlinks they have, and try to replicate that.

The blog, obviously. You create the blog to attract people and you attract people if you offer them something valuable (information in this case), not by directing them to your offer. Besides, I don't think it's even possible to rank simple landing pages, I mean I've not seen one ranking in ages, so pointing backlinks (the single most important ranking tool you have available) to your landing page is total waste

Strong domains and big brands usually outrank everyone, in most niches, so you'll want to either be a big, popular brand that people know about and love, but since you're not a big, popular brand then you'll need a strong domain, and strong domains are strong when they are aged, trusted by google, and have a lot of authority (lots of strong backlinks)

To get your domain aged you can buy an expired domain (better yet, a domain that's not been dropped yet, which is clean, and which is - obviously - in the same niche you're activating in), but acquiring a great expired / not dropped domain name is a whole affair in itself, so I'm not going into details on how to do it. You'll have to learn the tricks of the trade yourself or hire someone to do it for you

1. How do you know what kind of game your competitors are playing? I mean no offense, but from the questions you're asking it looks to me that you're not SEO savvy, so don't mind me asking you these questions

2. Those 2-3k more backlnks can mean everything. If even half of those backlinks come from big, reputable sites in your niche you're gonna sweat a lot, and put a lot of resources into outranking those big guns, so just because your competition has "2-3k more backlinks overall" doesn't mean that they're easily outranked. Again, I'm not trying to talk you down, but I'm noticing you're approaching SEO with the wrong mindset and this can spell troubles for your finances and mental health in the long run, so I'm trying to caution you so you don't start off on the wrong foot

More specifically, you need to carefully analyze those 2-3k more backlinks and see where they come from, their anchor texts, and so on... Again, I won't go into too much detail because I'd be here all day long writing stuff that's already been discussed on this forum 100s of times already. And I'm not selling SEO consultancy (or any other SEO services actually), so there's no point for me to go into details on how to analyze your competition and come up with an SEO strategy. Just know that there's more to learning what you're up against and how to rank in google than these initial tips that I'm giving you.

3. How do you know that the niche is competitive? I'm not questioning your ability of knowing this, I'm just genuinely curious to know how you've assessed the competitiveness of the niche. I might learn something new myself from you

if you don't have the resources (time and money mostly) to invest into outranking your competition then yes, you will waste your time because some niches are out of reach for most SEOs. The financial, business and medical industries, for example, are 3 big industries that I would never approach as a newbie, or without a 4-figures monthly budget at least.

SEO tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush are great places to start if you can afford them. Also Google trends might be a good option, and I think there were some special pieces of software that deal with market research specifically, like BuzzSumo or Market Muse for example, but I'm not sure if these are the ones I remember. But they're worth checking out regardless... Oh, and "Answer the Public" also, they're great for finding out question type keywords that people ask a lot...

spend most of your time with?? Definitely with competition analysis and market research to know what you're up against, and then - if you're pleased with what you see - spend most of your time creating content (or simply outsource this if you can afford) and building links.

If you are tired of paid traffic eg no spend no traffic, come here and tell me straight how does it feel to spend months on seo plus a good amount of money to see no results or... See your site goes down from page 1 to nowhere becouse of next Google update...
