After sitting on my ass for 2 years doing nothing I have decided to finally stop being a lazy couch-potato and improve my life
Long story short - tried making quick money, failed, got burnt out, rinsed and repeated for months. Then I gave up on making money online and have been unproductive for 2 years.
But now I have decided to change things for good. I always thought of writing content but never did because I never saw content writers boast making 5-6 figures a year.
Now that I have learned from my mistakes and have found that I love tapping my fingers on a keyboard I can say that I am all in. No rush this time.
Firstly my plan is to do some free gigs to make a little portfolio and improve my writing. I have already written 2 articles for a giveaway on this forum and have hosted another giveaway today.
I have to say this, but I felt better than I ever have in the last 4 years when I wrote those 2 articles. Though I wrote for free, it felt like I am not completely useless. It felt good to be productive
Right now I can write 500-word articles, the next step will be 1000 words then 1500 words, and so on. I wish to be able to write 5000-word blog posts one day.
After articles, I will try e-books, emails and newsletters, hopefully to make an email list myself and start my own newsletter.
The platform that I will mainly focus on is LinkedIn. Gonna get big and get those inbound leads.
Gonna make a neat website to go along with the LinkedIn account.
Never gonna go on Instagram tho, don’t have the time and the will to make 10 pic carousel posts daily.
After 1-2 months of improving my writing, I will try out Upwork while pitching to SMMAs to work for them. This will bring a little stability
$1000 per month isn't anywhere near what I dreamt of 4 years ago but I was a dumbass 4 years ago. I can live a modestly good life in my country with this much money and I won’t be sad if this would be my ceiling.
Who knows I may even open a BST here someday!
The endgame for me will be making an SMMA providing content creation services so don't be surprised if you see another journey thread in a couple of years with a goal of $20k per month
I will try to update this thread once or twice a week, depending on how much (if any) work I do.
