Haven't applied for AdSense for a site in a while, and for my first 2 submissions recently, they were both rejections.

However, I made an effort in the past week to do a new site (it just had plain articles uploaded to it) and get it approved, so here is a list of things I did.

  • 1 or 2 images per page
  • Youtube video per page
  • 1 or 2 Wikipedia links per page
  • 1 or 2 industry links per page
  • 3 to 5 internal page keyword links
  • Spotify or podcast per page
  • Related posts plugin
  • Most popular posts widget
  • Social media buttons per page
  • Privacy policy & contact page
  • Popup cookie banner
  • Favicon
  • Tags & tags widget
  • Search box
  • About us widget description
  • Newsletter subscription widget box
The total amount of articles written was 40.
42k words, over 1k average per post.

The articles were uploaded a year ago and over the course of 4 to 5 months.
10 articles have been rehashed news articles with a link back to the main source industry-leading news article.
All 10 articles were published within the last 6 months, and the most recent article is 1 week old.

Just checked, and ads are running perfectly now!

Looking forward to revising the first 2 I got rejected for, now I know the standard to reach.

Best of luck with your adsense approvals in 2022.

@Panther28 Can you check this new adsense account if asking for Photo ID verification? (Not talking about Pin verification)

Not sure what you mean? I have an old account that was verified by pin I think.
hand written articles or AI
Philipino handwritten proof read and updated by me, and expansion of about 10-12 articles with AI content

Adsense new rule from 2021 is to verify acc by Photo ID for both old and new account. It should be there in verification.

With that checklist you'd get into google news too. Manually submit your website in the publisher center.
Adsense requires a shorter checklist imo but it doesn't hurt to be doubly sure.

I just got my site approved they did not ask any ID.

tbh that’s an overkill, approval is a lot more easier
Definitely an overkill.

You can pass without all that amount of elements (and quantity of content, 40, 1K pages although could be useful for your SEO purposes, are not 100% required)

In fact, the reviewing system is kind of weird, they put much more focus into the design than the content. For example, a cool Mag site with all that featured spots all over the frontpage, has 100% more chances to pass, than a classic Generatepress simple niche-page.

If you have a "PRO" design, you will run into straight away.

Content may also help you pass, but design is about 90% of the approval.

I've tested with dozens of sites. Last month I did a design-wise page with literally less than 10 pages, and it passed easily.
Also beware of the topics. It took me a while to understand that my dating-based content page was not passing just because of the topic (I kept creating content dumbly, only to realize a few weeks after that the issue was the topic, not the content (or the design))

thanks dude

Perfect! I don't think it's overkill at all BTW. I have Adsense approved for 2 of my sites. I've been trying to get some of my newer sites approved but with no luck. All have unique handwritten articles (altho not a ton of articles), and after adding more over time I re-applied but still got declined. I'm thrilled to have a checklist of things to do for these sites that will hopefully get them ready for approval. Thanks ;)

Good lock for you.. Thanks for sharing
If i may ask, how did you get the Wikipedia links. am interested in getting one for my sites

Thanks for sharing this. What was the state of your site at the point it was rejected twice?
