You can use the "link check" radio button under the "Delay" drop down menu. But you should wait 3-5 days before you do that, to give the moderators a chance to process your comments.

You can try right after, but that will only show you the auto-approved ones, so don't be surprised by low results. Wait some time then check it again

It's a great software dont get me wrong i had one version that posted 36k sucessful links and 3k stuck on blogs. The newer versions are so great with a dedicated server thats the only downfall for me. after 14k on a list of 160k sites it freezes up if you could take a look at that it would be great for the next upgrade lol if i catch another update that posts great with dedi's i wont upgrade again lol!

Let me guess, you are running free proxies?

This behavior happens with free proxies, when it does ScrapeBox isn't "freezing" simply all connections are tied up and it's waiting for a free one to progress. If you have 100 connections and 20 proxies, that's still 5 page at once trying to be loaded through a proxy that really can't support it so you need to lower connections.

Try posting to the same list again with no proxies, or exclusive proxies and you will find it will finish quickly. If you are not using proxies, then let me know because it may be machine specific.

Scrapebox is open and harvesting and I try to open it again by clicking scrapebox.exe. New scrapebox pops up then I get error: "we tried to connect to 3 different server, but failed. It looks like something is blocking". Why would second thread be blocked when first thread opened fine and is working?
Vista, firefox, public proxies, no firewall.

Make another copy of your ScrapeBox folder, and move it elsewhere and run the second instance from this. Still do it?

When ScrapeBox starts it loads the URL's that are in the harvester crashdump file, if you have another instance harvesting and writing to this crashdump file while another instance is trying to open/read it then it may cause problems. At the minimum copy..

after about 4 days here's my review

1. Harvesting - Very fast. I used no proxies, free proxies and then paid proxies. Worked fine with all of them. Results were similar, but paid proxies were the fastest.

2. PR Check - Faced problems with no proxies and free proxies. No problems with paid proxies. In fact am running a PR check with paid proxies now as I type. Out of 4843 URLs in the list 1839 URL's already checked for PR (38%) in 46 minutes.

3. Posting - This is where there is a huge difference between free proxies and paid proxies. My first burst of comments to 3000 URLs with free proxies came a cropper. 18% success + 9% with slow poster. I then used the same URLs for posting with paid proxies. 84% success!

Couple of things confused me at the start

1. after harvesting, when you transfer the list to the poster - the 4 options confused me and I ended up selecting the wrong option twice. The text could be a little clearer.

2. How do I get the list of URLs harvested into the scrapebox alive check? There is no option for importing it there, neither is an option available to export the URL's from the main screen.

In terms of memory usage - with the current PR check underway on my system, scrape box is using 66,328K of memory. Which is a small footprint!

Overall it is a great product and I am extremely happy with the results. Sweetfunny you are a :champion:. I have not got around to checking the actual back-links I have got, but will do it in a couple of days to see how many stick and will post my results here.

46 min is quite long for only 5000 urls.. since you said that you use paid proxies - if you have 10 of them you can use without delay and set max connections to 100 then you should be able to blast PR of 5000 Urls in 2 minutes or so..

@ ransom - After you post, export the successful ones to a file (or export them all if you want). Then on your next run, after you've scraped together a new list, you can import URL's to compare and remove from the new list.

another little tip for those do follow blog lovers

find do follow blogs and look for the guys who are spamming these, i found like 10 of these sites in 5 mins and there usually going after lots of **************** blogs

put their sites with the yahoo linkdomain into the keywords and tick the wordpress button.

this then finds all the blogs that they have been commenting on and most of them are either do follow or have a high pagerank

I can easily chew through 50-100GB/month using a mix of paid and public proxies with this tool. All depends on how much you're gonna run it.

I would look at what they are gonna charge you for bandwidth overages if you do decide to harvest half of Bing's index (not that any of us have ever done that lol).

The RAM is kind of irrelevant, this app is very lightweight and efficient.

And it is SO worth buying.

In my opinion, yes. It takes some time to fully accrue, but I have seen traffic, conversions, and revenue go up quite a bit lately. I'm using a mix of tools, ScrapeBox is a very important one, and a lot of what I do involves commenting all over the interweb....so, I believe yes.
