Internal linking is a must

The site is 3 months old.
Only built branded web 2.0's (and post manually written content every month or so) which link back to my site.
Since it's sort of a micro-niche site, I was able to link ALL of my pages together internally, all extremely relevant.
After the internal linking, my site started to take OFF.



I suggest you learn how to do internal linking properly and apply it to ALL your websites, it helps!

Can I ask how many posts you have on the site?

If they are all closely related, how u categorize them? or put all posts in the same category?

this guide by splishsplash is pretty good. in general, you would surely learn some good stuff by taking a few hours to read all his threads on seo.
edit: just gave it a quick read and that wasn't the correct guide for what you want. still strongly recommend splishsplash's posts for SEO in general.

take a quick search through BHW and even YT, there's plenty of tutorials on how to do it best for your site.

Yes I've read that guide, as well as the SILO one, but SILO you need a custom theme to be able to create a SILO structure site

Correct. Personally, I feel like they're stronger than posts for a few reasons, but I could be totally wrong.

I "categorize" my pages by making a parent page with sub-pages.

I think in a way it does, but contextual links carry more weight IMO.

Nah I didn't apply it straight away from day one. Once I finished building all pages (around the 1st of Sep) I started to silo the whole site and it really took off from there.

I know it seems so basic, yet MOST people forget to do this or do not know how to do it the right way and it's holding them back. Especially those who don't have the budget for SEO.

That's just what I'm about to say. Anyone, who still has any basic questions regarding SEO, should read all @splishsplash posts.
