i have xrumer and yes you can do that, i even use it without any proxy, for small projects like posting in 50 selected forums
tutorials can be found in their forum, their captcha solving tool can save you a lot of money

i didnt start with buying links from fiverr, that site didnt even exist 20 years ago..
anyways i bought xrumer around 2010 and its still the most powerful linkbuilding tool out there. non of the others even come close to what xr can do.
of course if you only use it with default lists its not as effective.
