for example you can register expired domains for the normal registration price and sell them on auction sites.
or you can use them to build sites (or re-construct from archive.org) and then sell the sites.
how much you earn depends on many factors and how much effort you put behind it, i can't give you exact numbers sorry.

that is a false postive. i can assure you there is no virus trojan or anything else malicious.
its just protected and encrypted to avoid cracks, thats why an AV can falsely flag it sometimes. thats very common.
you can see in virustotal that only 1 strange AV detected it, all the other major ones show it as clean:

you can find hundreds or even thousands of expired domains with this tool. however to get traffic estimates and such you need to analyze the found domains further.
for example with ahrefs bulk check, you can just copy+paste domains that you found and get metrics for them.
metrics are not automatically included as this would require a subscription and this software is a one time only payment to have a cheaper solution to find expired domains without subscription.
