Honestly, I have never seen anything close to what you are asking for and something like that probably does not exist and for good reason. Back in 2007 (I do not remember exactly) Matt Cutts from Google told the search marketers (you can probably still find the quotation somewhere on the net ) that efforts that focus on quantifying backlinks is a bad idea as Google was moving towards detecting natural linking patters as opposed to forced linking that focused on quantity and PR (page rank which was quite a rage at that time). I do not believe that the situation has changed now and it actually moving towards detecting human interaction more than just number or authority of the linking source.

Example:
Let's say that I would like to be in the top 3 in Google for the term "how many backlinks do I need" (just an example lol);
I know that there are different factors that make websites rank higher like DA, domain age, content quality, backlinks [...].
However is there any calculator or tool that could help with the estimation of backlinks needed?
It would be best if it would look also at other factors such as domain authority for example.

Any tips would be helpful!

It's impossible to answer that. It depends on the BL, the content from where the link comes from, the quality of the website from where the backlink comes from. You should consider focusing on good content first and adding good but not too massive links on one single time.

If you wrote clear article about it, that is original content, you could rank that key word with no backlinks, with some time though.
If you want to speed up the process it would not take more than 2 or 3 quality backlinks.

I rank without backlinks, some one page one, some first in serp. Most are 2nd and 3rd page etc. The website is 8 months old. I will start with linkbuilding this month

An ideal process is to check the top 3-10 ranking websites/pages links and make a guess based on that,
Keep in mind that some of these websites might be using some hidden PBNs, so it's much better to check a couple of them at least,
Make sure to have the right content which fits the keywords search intent and similar to the ranking urls
