Copyright Strike ! Please help !

It is but the guy who striked probably doesnt care. You can try to appeal it but the appeal goes to the guy and not youtube so he will propably reject it unless its an automatic claim which a network did it for him.

I think text commentary is not enough. It should be voice commentary. You should talk over his video and maybe break the video to 2 or 3 parts ie not just straight 30Sec

i agree with you somehow .. & from my stupidity i had enough time to cut his part from the video but i thought Youtube gonna protect me as this was a fair use .. but actually they do not care!!

You have to get in touch with whom give you strike, or you can just remove that clip by cropping.

lol dont be afraid.
when you get strike for such cases from individuals instead of companies or record labels, and since you already added some commentary, just dispute it on fair use grounds, its easier for yt to approve your dispute, in cases of individuals.

if they approve your dispute, then the rights holder will have some days to take you to court.
99% of people wont do that and its too expensive.
he wont do that, and the strike will get auto retracted if he does not.

just dispute him and done

I am afraid because as this happened .. i do not feel safe on YouTube ... If anyone can give me a copyright strike then all my efforts can go in a minute.

Counter Claims get rejected if there is not enough information you were providing them. I have had this issue as well that 2 of my claims were rejected but sometimes it is actually better for you to reject it rather than having to do deal with the outcome afterwards. Where are you from? If you are in a T2 or T3 Country your chances of getting sued are slim when you submit a appeal. But if you did submit a counter appeal and your strike gets removed then the other party has to go to court/or take this on the legal side.

My case was exactly the same, i got 2 strikes removed and the other party involved laywers and are currently suing me for damages of like 2.000 - 3.000€ (About 4k$). It really depends in what country you are in and how the copyright laws are in your country. If OP decides to rewrite the claim with more details he might get away with the strike but you never know how greedy the other party is. Chances are small that you will get dragged to court, but the possibility is always there.

ye what you saying is true, but in my case ive experienced both false strikes and legit strikes.
but in the case of legit strikes i dont counter notify if it is coming from companies/organizations etc, coz thats risky.
ill just do it, if it looks like it is coming from individuals and not companies. because if you do against companies, you risk being taken to court like you said.

but when you counter notify individuals , false strikers etc you win most of the time, and they dont end up doing anything and their claim gets automatically retracted.

i've also done false counter notifications against individuals, when they sent me legit strike.
but since most of them dont take any action, like taking me to court, the claim gets retracted.

also when i play these blackhat games i play in stealh mode inside vms with fake details and proxy.
so i can mess around

I guess no fear in my case .. I live in Egypt & Probably the other guy from somewhere in Asia .. the weird thing that i wrote my appeal in English + the channel , email ... etc all are in English but i got the reply from YouTube in Arabic so probably an employee from the Middle East review my case "
The part in English is what i wrote in my counter notification.. Can i give it another try with an enhanced text or what !
