YouTube Q&A [AMA]

For e-commerce, I honestly believe you should nail down ads (Facebook pref) first before considering organic YT as an option. Are you already profitable with ads?

Very vague question. You can read my journey thread here: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/y...th-with-adsense.1176936/page-34#post-14145231 you ll probably learn a lot.

Right off the bat:

1. YouTube is a long-term game
2. Make sure you post creative videos
3. Spend as much time on your thumbnail as you do your entire video
4. Capitalize on trending topics
5. Don’t spend more than 20 seconds on tags
thanks mate.

Hello @wengthemeng , thank you for making this thread. There is a lot of good info here.

I have a YouTube channel related to the stock market. I found a really good way to get a lot of views from Twitter but the views average around 2 minutes each while my organic views from YouTube search, browse features, suggested, etc. average like 5-6 minutes each. I like the extra ad revenue as my Twitter method is free and pretty easy to do but I wanted your input on something. Do you think that I am hurting my channel by getting a lot of REAL but lower than average retention views?

You would THINK that if YouTube is getting views and therefore ad revenue from my efforts of promoting these videos on other websites that it wouldn't hurt my channel. They are sparing no impressions and getting views. But you never know with YouTube, there are so many factors so it is hard to tell. I will say that my channel is overall getting considerably more watch time, ad revenue, and views since I started using this method about a week ago BUT I do not want to stifle organic growth from browse features/suggested/etc. The rankings on my videos are completely mixed. VIDIQ has some tags ranked higher than when I did this, some lower, and some the exact same. Its hard to get a clear trend just because as time goes on, the videos will theoretically be lowered in ranking regardless.

I know you might not know the answer to this but I would really appreciate your input if you have any.

Does, deleteing and adding a new ADsense account, from a different counry location,
Takes the USUAL 7 Days for activation.
SOLD, a channel to africa, he attached a differnt adsense, YT says, wait for 7 days to login.

Any alternative

Hi, glad you're doing this! Just a quick question.

Is it safe to comment on multiple videos with a link to my website (the comments and the website being really relevant to the video)? Like will I get banned for that?

Can I use the same comment or should I make each comment unique? I'm also not just plugging my link, I'm providing valuable information and putting my link in the end.

So this channel has 1,000,000 subscribers. He doesn't need a good thumbnail or title to get views/impressions. His subscribers alone will handle all of that.

For newer channels, a Good Title, Attractive Thumbnail, and Good Quality Video are necessary.

Youtube will definitely send impressions your way. Whether people click on your video depends on your thumbnail and title. This is why you see a lot of newer channels use bright words and big faces.

You need to be creative and understand that newer channels and established channels work differently.

If the keyword/topic has low search volume, then that definitely makes things a bit easier as well.
There have no ads show for this channel

You won’t get banned for doing that; however, in my opinion, I feel like your efforts of trying to bring traffic to your website can be put elsewhere rather than commenting on YT videos.

If you do want to do this, I would make each and every comment unique and space out the time frame from which you do so.

Hi wengthemeng,

Appreciated what you did,it's useful for us beginner, and will you please show me where to get free music as BGM for videos?

Thanks,

the thing is, youtube does NOT send impressions to new channels - i tried with tens of channels in different niches, no impressions at all. Good Title, Attractive Thumbnail, and Good Quality Video are necessary - this is just the usual BS...
how many videos you up,and how long for your channel still no impressions?

How do I get a key.word or title higher than my competition?

Put your keyword in the VERY beginning of your title

I get my free music from YouTube creator studio itself.

The main indicators to track?
How to analyze traffic sources?

Hey there! The main indicators to track are definitely click through rate and average viewer duration. I’m constantly looking at these two metrics everytime a new video is posted.

When I’m looking for new videos to create videos on, I often go to the “audience” tab in the Youtube analytics as well.

Can you give a link where we can download camtasia?

Hey bud! I’m sure you can ask elsewhere around here in the forums, I personally don’t use camtasia!

Is it a bad idea to use endscreens to direct views to a new vid? does that lower the CTR?
