Youtube copyright claims & Fair use

Hi BHW,

I'm starting a new Youtube channel and need some answers before putting more time into it.

There's some parts of my videos that are from other videos on Youtube (like 5-10% of my video).

I can see that my videos don't have copyright claims but can they get demonetized for "fair use" even if they don't have copyright claims?

In other words, if my videos don't have copyright claims, does it mean that I'm good with the "fair use" policy?

In most cases you will be fine. Just remember that YouTube itself does not decide whether your videos are fair use or not, only a judge will. This means I could still flag your videos if you used my content. This rarely happens though.

Yup agreed with everything @Priince1337 said.

Just make sure to upload all your videos as a draft first to see if any copyright claims pop up.

If not, you're good to go.

You will rarely see anyone do anything to your video under the Fair Use Act unless you're literally copying everything.

sometimes you can get a copyright strike if the owner sees the video and reports it (even if it didnt pick it up as a copyright claim) happened to me a few times

probably there is no problem of copyright issues of youtube
but there could be some reports from owners of the content you use

More then likely if you do find your self in hot water over it. My guess would be that
the owner/competitor has spotted the material in question and then reported it. Some
niches are worse then others.
