i even suggest a twitter style verification check for all uses. those who want to get verified can and will have a check mark next to their name. those sellers who do not have a check mark, will eventually fade away.
I personally like this idea.
Give all sellers an option whether they want to "verify" themselves or not with nothing "forced" upon.

How do you stop that? ID verification.
Maybe that's the only way. Or could be some other way idk.
But as ID verification is implemented for both buyers & sellers, you or anyone is completely wrong when you say "what are you hiding?".

I think the idea of implementing this would be great to be able to screw over people who want to come to BHW to do their thing.

Another thing, I am sure that many of the members have had some bad experiences with threads of the marketplace. The best thing to do is to leave your public review, and if you think it is of very poor quality, inform the administrators / moderators.

Encouraging users to comment on a service is the best way to know if it is being done well or not, most of them hire a service, do a sh1tty job for them and are only left with the bad experience.

Here a tip:
- Pay with CC/PayPal

If you have an issue of not getting what you paid for your bank usually is more than happy to refund you, don't even need to ask PayPal, and no need to worry about Member being banned and not paying you back.

- Never, did I say never? pay with crypto unless you think you want to hide and can live with losing the money.

many are worried about seller taking adverse actions on such disputes. for starters, negative seo.

BHW does not condone illegal activity. This is not an issue.
Dear Friend,

Hop into the Marketplace and judge correctly. See how many services are legal. :)
WhiteHat, GrayHat, BlackHat are terms based on the legal expansion. Please have a look on those terms.

Great Thread though.

Exactly, I completely agree, in fact, some won't even put up a honest review, because they are scared due to this very same reason.
Yes, the staff won't take kindly over such actions such as NSEO but, between them being punished & your site ruined, not a good trade off for you.

If they are legal, don't have to worry about authorities do you?

Let's take the guy who said "what about secondeye's thread, he won't want his ID passed to authorities"

Dam right he won't, because his service was illegal. Hence why he got taken down by the FBI yesterday and now Damien has closed his thread.

As I say a lot, BHW follows UK regulations, and I know how strict UK regulations are. BHW a million dollar forum wouldn't risk doing dodgy things with my ID. If they were attempting to, they wouldn't be following UK law. The UK would probably be the last country they want to reside their business in. We have so many watchdogs in the UK it's unreal. Even politicians can't get away with their dodgy antics here. Your not just covered by UK laws here, you are covered by EU laws on top since we haven't really changed any.

P.S, it's blackhat SEO on this forum as far as I'm aware, that's just not following google guidelines, not law breaking. BHW doesn't condone illegal activity.

I guess that was you paraphrasing my comment as no one said that direct quote on this thread.
My point was there is always a work around. There are sites where you can buy fullz, people holding their ID, any form of ID you can think of.
Also if a site had someone selling false ID in their market place how would you even know a seller never bought theirs from them.

A point which no one has mentioned is would the website want to do it because of data breach. If the site got hacked and everyone’s ID got exposed not only would it be the death of the site but also a massive fine. You know that the U.K. government take this seriously.

The Idea of making sellers “verified sellers” would be an idea. Then it’s the sellers choice if they wish to opt in and give a bit more credibility to their thread.

Even with Blackhat seo or social media marketing, there are lots of reasons someone wouldnt want their identity verified. BHW sure doesnt want to become a place where social media sites and search engines use legal methods to obtain identities of certain sellers and providers from BHW in order to shut down services.

"Legal" can very often be a manipulated term to allow companies with deep pockets to kill any competitors.

You seem to have an agenda with your post and passionate arguement, but your idea carries a lot of problems with it for a business to implement and risks and liabilities, that you seem oblivious too.

do you for 1 min think that if facebook, twitter, google and/or FBI (in case of fraud and illegal activity) want to get involved, BHW can stop them?! they can easily find out who is behind each sales thread without BHW even knowing about it. follow the money my friend!

social media companies very well know that their term of service is being broken by different users. They don't give a fuck; unless an entity like US gov comes after them and tells them to clean up their act due to US elections. otherwise, they don't care and don't want to spend 1 min to worry about BHW. what happens in BHW has absolutely no impact on their financial numbers.

The FBI is a different matter, but yes there are ways to prevent Facebook, twitter etc from getting information. Even if people follow the money.

To everyone who want's the ID and face verification bla bla bla. Have you ever experienced the consequences when you docs are stolen and misused and you fall into unnecessary trouble. I don't see Mr Diamond replying to this thread that sums up the argument. People will leave and forum will bear the loss.

I am amazed by the level of thinking here one guy say verify the sellers other says verify the buyers I mean what is this some kind of joke. Is that the way you handle problems. The quality standards of any online community are dependent upon the team that watches it. Id verification is good thing but it will harm the business more. I can understand sellers will verify it but as a buyer I won't give my Id. Implementing for buyers is not an idea it's a joke.

I think ID verification on sellers is a good idea. What do you think? This would weed out a lot of sneaky sellers me thinks...

I personally would be happy to verify my ID. I have nothing to hide :) Don't even have to worry about Data with BHW having to comply with UK data laws.

Make the marketplace safer for all :D
This is something we’re considering as an optional badge type (verified seller). It won’t be compulsory but will provide more options to buyers who may want to only buy from third party verified sellers. Providing greater choice to both the buyer and seller.

For clarity we would use a third party verification service. We would not be holding personal data.
