[Suggestion] ID verification for sellers

Rules and regulations if those have been implemented in a proper way the world have been a lot safer place.

BHW marketplace has been my best experience online. Nothing is 100% perfect, there will always be space for improvement.

If BHW took and stored personal data and ID's, it wouldnt be blackhat world anymore.

Many people like their anonimity. Not because they are shady sellers but rather for many other reasons some of which some people perfer to keep to themselves. Plus implementing an ID verification is pointless to the real scammers, they just use fake ID's anyways.

Also, while BHW does take certain precautions on their marketplace (testing products and services); if they were to implement an escrow system or other such processes for sellers, a business assumes financial liability of the money which leads a business to lot of headaches that Im not sure BHW is willing to get into. And even taking ID verifications carries with it risks such as lawsuits if there were data breaches and such.

The current system works well enough and paypal and card services have dispute resolution processes available if a buyer feels like they were scammed. I am sure the BHW staff don't need an extra headache added to their business model.

I become a backlink seller, give mods some good backlinks and sell backlinks on penalised domains, eventually people start flagging it (The more knowledgeable SEOs or a mod doing a spotcheck) whilst I've taken money from plenty of noobs. I then get banned. I then reset my router (Getting a brand new IP) and buy a cheap phone that has internet access to rule out hardware tracking. Essentially replicating a new household and user.

I then warm up the accounts, buy Jr VIP, and sell links again.

Now I've just ripped off tons and tons of noobs before getting flagged.

Repeat process.

Now obviously that's a 2 second method I've created off the top of my head using my knowledge of computers. I guarantee there much more technical guys on here than me, that can come up with a much more efficient solution.

How do you stop that? ID verification.

Creating and using fake ID's is pretty easy and common. What makes you think that having a verification will stop scammers? FGS people sell paypal accounts.

Besides I dont think you understand the business level challenges that come with having such a verification system and liabilities.

Everyone is entitled to privacy, shady or non-shady.

I find the idea of having my ID on a [more or less] random (I already know people will take great offence at this) to be pretty shitty + it won't really solve the scamming problem.
