I think ID verification on sellers is a good idea. What do you think? This would weed out a lot of sneaky sellers me thinks...

I personally would be happy to verify my ID. I have nothing to hide :) Don't even have to worry about Data with BHW having to comply with UK data laws.

Make the marketplace safer for all :D

When someone want to scamm here, than these also dont helps...

It would negatively affect marketplace, many sales threads are 'grey matter'.

Yes it will be good - but don't forget there are many sellers (not sure exactly but i saw many thread in past) who are also providing fake id's for verification. Also people can easily edit ID's - then how there is surety that ID is real ?

Plenty of companies do ID verification. Can take a picture of ones self holding the ID. :)

i even suggest a twitter style verification check for all uses. those who want to get verified can and will have a check mark next to their name. those sellers who do not have a check mark, will eventually fade away.

Plot twist, you have to send a selfie with the ID in front of you ;D

make it more difficult, confirm a small transaction that gets sent to your bank/paypal account. no F'en way to cheat

That's true,

I don't get why people are voting no?

I don't have any issues with it at all.

Consider this. Blackhatworld is a law-abiding business and if it has ID's it has no choice but to surrender those ID's to law enforcement if they are asked to do so. Given the nature of the marketplace, i can't see this ending well at all, For sellers or for BHW itself. Bhw can't surrender what it does not have.

I do not sell here, but I can have my reasons without being shady as fck. It´s called privacy.

sellers should not have privacy

if sellers are not breaking the rules, then why should they care? ebay has everything on their sellers. has that stopped their business? no.

Majority of sellers here don't even understand how invoicing works, let alone scan their ID

BHW does not condone illegal activity. This is not an issue.

It's kind of short-sighted no? Very few marketplace threads are breaking any rules or laws, But that doesn't mean they aren't targets of hostile businesses and overzealous legal teams.

if they are not breaking rules and laws, why would they care about ID & bank account verification?

if you are making money, shouldn't you verify who you are and give a sense of security to your buyers. when was the last time you heard a story that a buyer got cheated on ebay and ebay did not step in and make it right and nuked the seller?
