Yep. I really am impressed with how little of an effort it took to install and update. No crashes, no bugs, nothing yet.
Sweetfunny, is it safe to say that the issue
Darkone was having was with his connection/proxy and not a ban from the search engines? If someone forgot to enable the proxies, scanned with their own IP, would that be possible to get you a ban?
Is it true that the bans are generally placed on URLs instead of IPs?
He got blocked for excessive scraping, this is only temporary and lasts about an hour with Google and the block is by IP. But ScrapeBox has numerous alternatives regarding Google blocking:
Use proxies
Use Yahoo
Use Bing
Use AOL (results powered by Google)
Use a time delay so you don't scrape so aggressively
Being blocked due to automated access is nothing to worry about, it happens sometimes if you are using SEOQuake toolbar, or have a number of computers/users sharing a single connection.
Overall SB has been extremely stable for me since I first purchased it (1.0.x something - ancient by SB standards LOL). You've done a great job updating it and keeping it very stable.
I don't apply every single update any more, I kind of skim the features and update every 2-4 releases roughly. I went from 1.9.2.6 to 1.9.2.9 and I did notice that that release (1.9.2.9) was crashing periodically.
Yes you were one of the first buyers.. So you have seen virtually every feature get added over the months. So when you went to 1.9.3X it came good?
That's the problem, with so many PC configurations and third party software the chances of every version functioning perfectly on every machine is zero.. Especially with new features being added so rapidly, but so far virtually every issue has been fixable.
SweetFunny!
I have been using ScrapeBox for month and flipping love it!!!! I love that there are sometimes 3 - 4 updates in a day! I can't keep up!
Here is my New Years Day suggestion:
- It would be nice if there was a way that when after your scrape your blog list (using the built in scrapper tool) that we could using the WYSIWYG comment editer to add "wildcards"... such as "keywords" (ie keyword used to scrape that blog url), "url wildcard", image link wildcard, etc.
-SENuke has the ability to add a "wildcard" to place a link to a "previous" post. This creates a pseudo-linkwheel. It would be cool if we could add this "wildcard", and have links place from previously successful posts.
Thank you.
Right there is 2 issues with that, you post a link to the previous successful comment URL. But who says it will get approved? You will end up wasting links by pointing them to pages that may not even contain your URL.
Also the better way to use ScrapeBox when linkwheeling is concerned is link like this:
Blog Spam >> Web 2.0 >> Money Page
Use it to feed the spokes in your link wheels with more juice, your idea is more or less:
Blog Spam >> Blog Spam >> Money Page
IMHO this provides less value, also to create any sort of linkwheel without broken spokes/links the best way is to use the confirmed links from the Link Checker tool so your not linking to pages that don't have your link. But if you do that, you can just dump out the Success URL's from the link checker and use them in your Websites.txt
This will do the same sort of thing, do it accurately and without the need for complex wildcards. Not only that, you can do this right now without the need to wait for any special feature.
- How do you use scrapebox? How would you build backlings to a adsense blog about "car loans"?
- Would it be a good idea to build backlinks to a free web 2.0 blog and than post your real url on this blog?
I would start by watching the hour and a half worth of video tutorials, and read the various usage guides.
Sweetfunny: Thanks again! Is there a way I can get passed the 10th page of Google results for a [link:domain.com] search? I need to get through about 100 pages
Also, I'm not sure what the different Google site's function does. It just seems to run the search through the different domain, but without any prioritizing of the language filters. Ie, if I go to google.co.jp and check the little radio button which says only display results from Japan, I get very different results. Scrapebox gives me the exact same results no matter which Google domains I enter and use...
Forgive me if I'm asking a duplicate or dumb question.
Thanks for all yoru hard work. You are better than Apple!!
ScrapeBox will harvest every URL that Google shows, except malware URL's. It harvests 10 pages at 100 URL's per page which is 1,000 Google does not show any more than that.
The Google options just use different domains for example Google.fr and the results are slightly different.
v1.9.33 Uploaded
Added: Optional Cloud/Communal Based Blacklist
Added: Crash Dump files for Success/Fail when Commenting due to Microsofts mshtml.dll being unreliable.
Added: Additional Null Character filtering in Harvester.
Changed RSS, Ping, Trackback, Checklinks to Radio buttons
If you encounter problems after commenting to a specific blog, for example they make a complaint to your host or proxy provider feel free to submit the URL for inclusion to the Cloud Database.
This cloud is shared to other ScrapeBox users, and is optional if you want to use it or not. The Commenter will skip any URL's in the database and not comment on them.
