Mass Emailing Questions

Hello All,
I started scraping IG emails and importing the lists into Klaviyo (I know stupid) and unfortunately got banned pretty quick. I did not even know it was illegal and still pretty new to the game. I was basically sending affiliate offers via email after scraping off IG. I am pretty bummed I am banned from Klaviyo.

Anyways, I want to try to continue doing this method but I need SOME HELP and have some questions.

1) Is it legal to send mass emails like this without opt-in?
2) Is your domain (website url) at risk doing this?
3) What are the fallbacks of doing this and am I putting my website at risk anyhow?

1) Mailing companies are with BIG NO on mass , cold mailing its like instant suspension.
2) No one uses their running domain for mass or cold mailing always pick alternative domain or fresh domain.
3) Its really hard to answer without knowing what your sending and what kind of list you have.

1) Yes illegal , but who cares , never use your own details or just use unsubscribe link and email the unsubscribes from another account
2) Yes , go with an offshore registrar (chinese and google translator)
3) In term of SEO for example probably no , but reputation it will hurt

Really depends on the method used to upload the datas , manual import is a big no , but there is some sneaky methods that the AR's themselves won't catch

The best place for you to start is with the CAN-SPAM Act. Read the whole thing. It's lengthy, but there's a lot at stake, so it's important to understand it fully.

That being said, it's possible to set things up anonymously. You can sign up with an email service using nothing but an email address and a Walmart gift card, but the hard part is finding a service that will be ok with your content or possibly apparent lack of opted-in users. You can also set up your own email server, but then I believe it's harder to get your email to hit people's inbox.

1) No, you 100 % need opt-in legally, if you are going down the illegal route, just don't give out your own info on the emails
2) Yes, but don't use your own domain.
3) Repuation will be gone.
