Neuralink is still just an idea. They're all just ideas. I can just start 10 companies and start hyping them up on the social media if I had billions for marketing.

Why should one compare a government agency with billions of "free money" to throw out of the window, to a private company, that has to look on it's finances?
SpaceX has build reusable rockets, provided the first american built rocket in a fucking long time, and has way cheaper space transportation cost per kilogram, then NASA has ever achieved.

The Neuralink Chip currently isn't that revolutionary, but the robot, implanting the chip and electrodes in to the brain is also seen as a major achievment in the field of brain computer interfaces by critics of neuralink

Look it up, he hasn't revolutionized anything besides making concepts into prototypes. Check out the cars, they're not that good besides it's good looks...

It doesn't matter. The point is there were a couple of tiny electric cars that people would use to go to the supermarket nearby and now every auto manufacturer has to have a line of EVs if they hope to compete. The US government is about to replace its entire fleet of vehicles with electric alternatives. This wasn't happening without Musk pushing the industry forward.

This is the same argument as "What did Steve Jobs really do?" Because he didn't actually sit there, coding iOS has no bearing on his contribution. All sorts of people are required in order to revolutionize something like phones or automobiles and these guys are the face of the company and they place HUGE bets on themselves and their companies along the way. They are the insanely driven visionaries required to make these crazy ideas become reality.

By the look of things, Tesla is only going to increase it's profits and manufacturing capabilities. Maybe the share price will correct in the future, maybe it will even go higher if/when solar roof starts to gain traction.

Similar to Steve Jobs - great at talking confidently, has few good buddies who do the actual engineering but aren't great at the business side or talking.

Difference is that with Steve Jobs, we know his counterpart is Steve Wozniak, but w/ Musk their names aren't really household names.
