pet niche blog that I'm hoping will generate enough money to at least cover the expenses.

Quick update.

I am now making enough money per day to cover my first goal for the blog! The current rpm means that I will gain enough in a year to cover my hosting.

Update

First, the stats.

As you can see, some clear improvements. I changed Adsense ad placement dramatically and this seems to have rapidly increased my earnings. Visits seem to have stabilised at around 265 a day, which brings it in line with what Semrush currently predict. It does look like the goal of 10k in a few months is very attainable. The overall aim I think is to gain £1 a day, that would easily pay for costs and give me room to increase it.

Must add that only probably 80 of those 430 backlinks are from me. The rest came naturally, although they don't have any DA.

Have uploaded another post today. 105 posts now uploaded in total.

We have hit 10k on Semrush, due to one of my articles on a 1.2k volume keyword going to number one.

Thank you! I am yes, adsense with automated ads. However, I've recently added a few ads manually to my top-performing articles. I put them just after I 'answer the question' at the start, meaning that I will always have an impression on them. Once I consistently get 10k (dropped a bit under in the past few days), i might apply to new networks. Do feel a bit lied to when Google Adsense calculator said that I would get 7.5k a year for 15,000 monthly views!

Thanks! Let me try to give you a decent idea.

The first article was published on the 9th of April, with articles being written around once a day from then for about 2 months. So around 10 days. Although, exponential increases only began in August!

Here to give a quick tip to people when it comes to ranking.

I've analyzed my top performing articles, and the top rankers only have the search phrase in the text around twice. Once at the start and once at the end. Placing it in too many times, even when it isn't forced it, seems to make Google dislike it.

Here with an update, and a commitment to really begin working to get this blog to 10k and above.

Traffic Update

As you can see, a small decrease on the previous highs. I think my niche is partly related to Christmas, in terms of the acquisition of the product, and this may be why there is a decrease in the numbers.

Article Update

We are on 112 articles. Trying to publish every other day, but still quite hard. Running out of ideas for articles will not be a problem.

Adsense Update

Google have limited the amount of ads that I can serve to zero, hoping this is a temporary measure to assess the traffic coming from my site. A bit like sandboxing. I will keep you all updated on that.

Social Media Update

I'm beginning to scale Facebook and Instagram accounts to end my reliance on organic traffic. I have a few guides, and will begin using them to attempt to grow a popular page based on my niche.

Backlink Update

I'm now in the market to find some white hat backlinks. Guest posts would be perfect. If anyone has any recommendations, they would be very much appreciated.

There are pages in my niche that easily get 50k visits, it would be my long-term goal it make it to that strength. I can then use that victory, and create new niche blogs surrounding the wider niche (my website name is fairly brandable). That is my overall plan. But it will require work and money, the latter of which I have been neglecting.
