bbob,

I was just going to post the same question. After harvesting 3700 URLs around 500 were approved. Was wondering if I was doing something wrong, or, could do something to make that number better reflect the total #.

Great software. Had it up and running in under 2 minutes. Very easy to use. Finally, a developer who can think like a user and not an engineer.

Does anyone have any general stats on what # of these sites use "nofollow" tags in their commenting? As you can tell, I haven't used the software much. If someone has gone through their results they may be save me some time finding the answer.

The 500 out of 3700 might also depend on how you search.

for example I always add -"closed for comments" meaning it will skip all blog that have this text.
Normally I would also do -"capatcha" because you need to break them, but it seems that the last version could handle this.
There are more things you can add so you harvast better links.
On average I have about 25-40% that gets posted.
Again posted doesn't mean they will get accepted.
I check this after the posts and also after 2 days, check link option.
This way you can find auto approve blog (most of them are worthless and full of link spam) When you check after 2 days you can see how many got accepted. Doing that so far the results are still a bit poor.
This can be down to my comments, links or other thing.

So I wonder who is doing these check and can other people give their results when checking links after 2 or 7 days to see how many comments did get approved.

Hey there guys, I just ran a quick blog post of 6k blogs, and I got a 404 on every one of them, can anyone comment?

I had the same problem, and adjusted the default settings for 'Adjust Max Post Requests' (Tools menu) from 100 to 5 and had a much larger success rate.

Obviously my connection is too slow to handle the beast that is...Scrapebox!:)

Can anyone tell me what the "time span" feature does when using search engines e.g. for scraping results and such?

I am having the same problem, without proxies, the internet connection is working fine..? Anyone found a solution?

edit: Ok, changing the max posts request did the trick

Aye, runs much smoother for me now that I dropped it down to 30 requests.

Really is impressive. This is my second day of actually participating and reading actively on this forum. I'd never heard of this program until yesterday and I have been around the bloc. Hopefully it stays that way! This is like a secret weapon. Nobody is going to hear about it from me (outside of this forum), no chance, this is one hell of a powerful tool. Leaps and bounds better than EVo2 and much less time required. Plus, you aren't doing the dreadful article spinning and filling the web up with useless articles full of fluff. This is a way to drastically speed of the process of what you would do naturally to build links on blogs.

Anyone have a response on the 'nofollow' question? Is there anyway to tag the searches for negative entries in the source? I.E. rel="nofollow"?

success rate depends on the platform you are targetting, the niche, whether they are set to moderate, if you are banned by akismet and so on and so on. Its always a bit of a lottery when commenting but if you do 50k you should get a good few links back even if you have everything setup wrong lol

Askimet bans the domain too, not sure about the IP (doesn't really matter once the domain is blocked), so has this happened to anyone here? Being banned from askimet is my biggest concern with using this tool. I know they look for spam indicators too. I have heard people say they have been banned by Askimet for using keywords as their names (or anchor text). Even once read that Askimet shares spammers data with Google and can influence your Google rankings. Could be wrong tho!

2 of my domains were banned :)

I've tried more then 2 times to contact them but unfortunately they did not reply.

I wish if Miss can deal with this in the near future.

In the mean time I am only using a unused domain just to blow it up with links (8 comments+no anchor names + millions of emails) after week or two I will make a redirection for the unused domain to my main.

When I check my backlinks using BackLinkWatch a large portion of the anchor text isn't what was set in the commentor but is the name used instead. Anyone experienced this?

I do not suggest proxybonanza especially shared ones because they only give 16gb band per month and if you use scrapebox a lot, you can spend that band easily in e week. INstead of that, buy 10 exclusive proxies from packet flip (google), they offer more than 500gb band monthly

The Name field is what is supposed to be used as the anchor text, regardless if you are using ScrapeBox or commenting manually with a browser.

How and where are you setting this anchor text?

Oh my bad, I always took the comment to include a <a href="/">anchor text</a> and thought the comment text itself was to provide the backlink. Are the keywords and the links to backlink to taken from the names and the websites?

@sweetfunny

Today, an hour ago, i upgraded scrapebox to x.27(latest one) from 26 but after validating license part scrapebox crashes without an error. I never saw a crash with scrapebox before. Please post fixed version (or download link to x.26) :)

Regards

The last version is saved to your app directory and called scrapebox.exe.bak when you update.

For now, rename it back to scrapebox.exe

@sweetfunny if I have 100 blogs, and 6 websites, will it post 600 comments one for each website on each blog?
