Amazon Affiliate Marketing

I have spent the last few weeks watching Youtube Videos, Reading Guides and Journeys on BHW. It is safe to say that I have a fair idea about starting my own Amazon Affiliate Site.

I was hoping to start this new journey by myself but I realized having someone with me on this would make it more fun ( and successful) . All I ask from you is to keep an eye on SEO related stuff. I know you won't make any quick money or perhaps no money at all in the long run, but I can guarantee you that I will not give up.

~ About Me

I used to run a Travel Agency before the pandemic. I can work-hard. I am also tight on money which is the reason I want someone with SEO experience in affiliate marketing before I go full throttle on this project. I currently have no work, so I'll spend all the time, about 8-12 hours a day on this project. My goal here is to learn more about SEO, while on the other hand ( Hoping this is good enough ) you gain some slow money overtime and a steady passive income in the near future. I cannot predict if this will be a success or failure but lets see it together. I have little to no experience in SEO but I have read about it a lot.

~ About the Project

- I have already picked a niche [ I am not sure if you would find it the best out there but we can always discuss on it before moving forward ] , a domain name and bought a hosting. The Website is up and running with a WordPress Theme installed.
- Over the last few days, I have been scanning for more websites in the given niche to hunt for keywords. I do believe I have found some good once but I can never be sure since I lack the experience to judge them.
- I plan to write all the articles myself with the help of Grammarly (Of-course) and try to use the On-Page SEO Optimization guides I read on the forum that will help rank for the particular keywords.
- I am already working on some fake Facebook accounts to share the articles in niche related groups for some social traffic. I have no problem in handling the social sharing aspect of the project as well. { Pinterest, IG, Facebook, etc }

~ What You Contribute

You will be looking into the SEO, i.e., Double Checking the On-Page SEO for Articles ( This is just for the first few articles. I am a quick learner and will get the hang of it pretty quickly. ) and General SEO of the site.
I assume this should not take much of your time and you can keep working on your current projects.

I do not own any Paid platforms to track/spy on competitors but I am getting great results with free tools out there. Before we begin I do hope we set some goals about the project.

You don't need to give someone a cut to look at your on-page, the process is really not that hard and can be learned in a couple of days.

What you need to focus on is finding good low competition keywords. It can be a bit tricky at first, you can do ir manually but it will take a shitload of your time. I would recommend getting an ahrefs trial for week for $7 and use that for KW research. A week is enough to find keywords for the entire year.

The only other thing you need is a domain $8/year, and hosting $5 - 10 a month. Then setup your website on wordpress and start pounding out content, keep 100% of the income

Thanks, I agree that doing the research manually would take me ages but I am currently using the free version of the tool called Rank Tracker. It does not allow me to copy paste or export but does give me all the keywords a competitor is ranked for. That is what I have been using until now to find keywords. It does provide me with the Number of Searches, Competition and Keyword Difficulty. Though I assume the paid platforms would do a more in-depth search on this and probably also provide various variations of the keyword which might be help. Also what is your take on the backlinking part. If the competition like you say is Low, Would I need backlinks? If yes how many. I am planning to save as much money as possible but if without backlinks there is no hope, i'd go ahead and buy them though I do no how to create Manual Web 2.0s to send backlinks to my posts.

EDIT - After reading my reply to you, I think I figured out the answer to the question I posed for you. There is no way to be certain about backlinks. It all depends on the competitors ranked on the top and try to beat them. Did I get it right?

Don't trust KW difficulty scores, they're bullshit. You have to check the SERPs manually. If you choose the right keywords, you can rank with minimal or even 0 backlinks. It will just take some time. You can create free links from web 2.0's and community sites and buy cheap PBNs in the market place to power your links (backlinks to your backlinks).

After doing this for 2 years, and being a perfectionist who is never satisfied that something is the best tactic. Here is my advice to you.

Learn keyword research in-depth. If you mess up keyword research, all your efforts go to waste and in a years time when you revisit keyword research because you are not getting visitors, you will end up rewriting all your content.

Keyword research is the foundation to getting visitors, mess this phase up and your visitors will be slim to non. Learn this phase IN DEPTH. Everything else can be learned later.

Have you / Are you working on any Amazon Affiliate Site Projects? and I just noticed that SEMRush offers a trial of 30 days for BHW Members. The Keyword Research phase for the site, most people recommend Ahrefs, but how bad could SEMRush be in comparison? or is it some tools that only Ahrefs offers that help find more keywords?

Also, I read through some of your posts on other threads. I saw one where you mention about looking at sites On-Page Seo Optimization and Rank to find out of its a steal or not. Can you tell me what criteria's do you consider on that On-Page Optimization that you look for?

You're just looking for an SEO consultant.

Don't give away 30% of your revenue indefinitely.

I'll help you with all of the SEO work you need done, and we'll start at 30% split, but anything above $3,000/mo my split drops to 10%.

e.g. We make $10k/mo, I earn (.3*3000)+(.1*7,000)=$1,600

Contingent on the research/work you've done up until now, may need to switch niches and/or branding
