tbh do it yourself man, just getting your hands dirty and understanding how things really works is priceless. I do it the old fashion way, using the serp and competition indicator (low quality result - user generated content, old post, not optimized for the kw). I don't trust paid tools anymore, there's just there to make money as they pay big commission, my opinion only.

There are free trial periods available for most of the keyword analysis tools. You can use those tools and do it by yourself. That will be the best option.

May be this is the best time to learn how to do a proper keyword research. There are many free tools you can use to pick keywords, try them, check them out and learn how to pick great once that can work on your projects. You can get started with Ubersuggest, Ahrefsh Keyword Research tool and the Keyword Shitter.

Next, feed the articles into SEMRUSH or AHREFS or MOZ

Find a combination of the following - highest position with least amount of backlinks with lowest keyword difficulty

Compile these topics and scrape their lowest difficulty keywords

Rewrite the content plus 500 words

How? Use the SKYSCRAPER method when rewriting content to dominate your competiton

Make sure you pull info from many sources to truly DELIVER on the topics of the articles you scraped

No tool. I manually check my kw in the serp and look for low quality result
