I have been managing my website for 1 year and 4 months. Starting as a naive blogger, I admit to copying few contents however I stopped that in my first 4 months and started writing genuine well written articles.
I admit to few copied contents however I stopped that in my first 4 months and started writing genuine well written articles. I read more about SEO and paid SEO services such as backlink and others on Fiverr as well. Despite the numerous efforts, my website doesn't perform. Sometimes looking at how much I have invested and wasted, I did feel to give up. What actually is the trick and can someone tell me what I am not doing right? Can anyone check my site? thenewsgod.com

Low quality content in the first 4 most crucial months and buying Fiverr gigs most likely.

Admitting to using copied content and buying services to help you rank, in the same paragraph displaying your website address, is likely a clear indication of you possibly being in way over your head. That website may not necessarily be ruined, but you need to be a lot more careful. You should edit your post and remove the URL.

You have a really nice domain there which might appeal to a lot of people. Wipe that thing and give it a new go. Also, maybe integrate your logo a bit better into your header. It looks really cheap. Like one of those 2000's websites daddy made for his sons birthday.

I see this all the time.

People start off with content marketing. They tend to write complete rubbish thinking it's the best stuff out there. Get 0 results and then set their eyes on backlinks, which too they gloriously fuck up thinking it's some kind of magic IM powder bought from Fivver for $5. It's like trying to cure a virus using antibiotics.

Sounds like it's 2 deadly SEO sins at play here: wrong content, wrong backlinks.

Just keep at it and don't give up.

fiverr is probably the worst place in my opinion to find someone who actually can help you with seo. BHW is actually a good place to learn about seo and hire experts to help you out.

Thanks very much for the suggestions. I will consider

Great. I noticed the mess I caused myself on Fiverr already. I'm not getting back there

Thanks for the heads-up. I will be careful however any other trick you think I should adopt aside writing quality content?

Well, keeping it all quality would be ideal.

Getting rid of poor links and getting only quality ones from this point on.

So basically you're re-writing news?
Re-written news competing with large media outlet... here's your answer.

I randomly copied text from your site: "Leslie Jones couldn’t stop laughing during her appearance on The View while remembering Donald Trump‘s performance at the October 22 presidential debate", surely for such a long tail keyword you should rank first. But no, as it's re-written content and both bing and google rank media outlets first.
Just ask yourself... "what would I read, an original article from Reuters or re-written article from a website I've never heard of".

and your link profile... oh dear god.

I ran it through the free AHREFS backlink checker, and your link profile seems to consist almost entirely of exact match dating keywords?
What's the deal with that?

Why you browse BHW then go to fiverr for links? lol, you got plenty of the best links & reviews here.

Your logo is a bit shit, it stands out too much and makes the site look very amateurish.

Not sure why some guys are just defaulting to, "you did some 'meh' stuff, now suffer". LoL
It's really not that bad.

I actually looked at some of your recent content, and it's fine.
Your logo design looks really crummy, but you have lots of posts that are on their way to ranking, and that's what really counts.

You just don't have much authority, yet.
So, the potential is there, you just need to power some stuff up.
Check this out...

This SE Ranking archive record is probably old, because I'm only seeing you on page 3, but still.
I'm looking at some of these other speculations, and I'm seeing mostly weird pop culture references.

Some of your content is actually pretty great, man, you just need to focus on the right stuff, which you are on the way to ranking for, and you need to power it up.
Once you start ranking for some legitimate stuff with traffic, you'll start to accrue more trust, and more rankings will come.

Please turn this adblocker off... LoL
Man... nothing worse than being smacked in the face while browsing.
Please turn that off. >.<

It's kind-of surprising how many posts you have on this site.
You have clearly put-in a lot of work.
If you don't want it, I'll buy it from you for $125. :P

Seriously, though, you just need to have a record of the kinds of posts that are on their way to ranking, and then you need to create new content, and innerlink to those posts.
You could also just go into old content, and add a link to some of those places you are trying to push.

I'm attaching an export on the keywords that are showing-up inside SE Ranking, so be sure to look at it, and maybe focus on some easy wins. :)

Not sure what your link building budget is, but if you can afford to buy some PBN links from the marketplace, here, then that will go a long way, as well.
Once you identify some stuff you are close to ranking to some legit traffic, then I'd just focus your backlink monies on those posts.

One more thing...
I have a buddy who runs a site, like this, and his looks a lot worse than your site, but he supposedly makes like $20k/mo, or something like that, with what he's doing.
Content is really valuable, and that's where your value lies, here.

What my friend does is he posts his links, and piggyback's on popular hashtags from Twitter to drive traffic to his posts.
So, everytime he writes a new post, I think he has about a dozen big hashtags that act as big traffic magnet catch-alls, and he tags the posts with his big hashtags, and then it gets automatically syndicated to his social media pages, and most of his traffic pours in from CTR on the hashtags from Twitter.
He also told me that he frequently re-posts various articles on his Twitter, during trends, and that multiplies the monies, supposedly.

If you focus on all that, I'm sure the organic rankings will follow shortly after.
Google is following those clicks, afterall.

I wish you well, bud, and be sure to follow-up with me if it works-out for you, man. :)
Best to you...

Ivan

the reason you're not ranking is you don't have any specific KW in which you want to rank. Most Important thing is KW research, you can't just rank random articles, this is something that news websites do not people like us.

If Google doesn't know about the existence of the page you're trying to rank or thinks it doesn't deserve to rank, then it won't show up anywhere that matters in the search results. Google knows that your website exists and can find and access all your important pages.

Provide quality unique content, update content with the latest trends, and add backlinks from relevant authority sites. It is better to focus on quality than quantity when adding backlinks.
