How to Respond to A Warning or Infraction

Nice post, BUT
...you are telling me cursing is not the way to get a warning removed ?
I'm disappointed.

Many have tried.

Some have even wanted to have sex with my Mother who has been dead for some 20 years and her ashes are spread out over the Atlantic.

I gave them Loran coordinates so they could find her.

3) Ask for clarification. Feel free to ask if you do not understand and we are happy to explain usually. Somethings may be murky and we get that so further explanation is well inside of normal discourse.
once I asked for clarification but didn't get any reply...
so what to do in that case??

Ask again and explain that you do not want to violate the rules and need to know where you went wrong.

Good chance the Mod missed the PM as we get a ton of them.

I checked what Loran means and this is what Wikipedia says,

"LORAN, short for long range navigation,[a] was a hyperbolic radio navigation system developed in the United States during World War II. It was similar to the UK's Gee system but operated at lower frequencies in order to provide an improved range up to 1,500 miles (2,400 km) with an accuracy of tens of miles. It was first used for ship convoys crossing the Atlantic Ocean, and then by long-range patrol aircraft, but found its main use on the ships and aircraft operating in the Pacific theater during World War II..."

I got one infraction I didn't even understand why I got it until I read through the forum rules. Point of fact, more than 80 percent of infractions is because most of the forum members don't read the rules.

Well, I read the rules but still got an infraction, coz the rules had changed and I had no idea that the rules had changed.
So, key thing to note is to keep checking whether the rules are still the same or they have changed.

Rules must be placed in a prominent section with a Sticky post so it gets desired attention.

It is no longer in use but fishermen used to use it as well to be able to find the spots where they caught a lot of fish.

The rules had not changed as your warning was in January of this year and nothing changed since June of 2017 and that was just a clarification of the rules as that was heavily discussed during that period.

One could never sell via PM unless they had a paid membership and were responding to a BST they owned, a Hire a Freelancer or a Want to Buy thread.

Let me add this one as it is a fair question:

"Do you think the warning you gave me is fair?"

To me that is a legit question as the warning process generally sends out an automated message that we periodically add to and in this instance I did not add to it.

I explained why I thought it was fair and explained some of the back end process as to why I thought it was fair. As Mods we are accountable to other Mods and more so to the Admins but we also have a responsibility to explain things to a member if they are asking a reasonable question.

That being said, it is Monday morning and time to hop on that horse, catch up with weekend requests and put the ball in play.

90% of people responding to warnings / infractions really surprised me. I would've guessed most just went with it.
I'm definitely guilty of the ones I've gotten and didn't see the point in apologizing or trying to talk myself out of it.

On December 24th I'm officially 5yrs "clean"

I'm glad you realise you deserved these, as I think you fully did too

i had 3 infractions i didnt deserve, thankfully with a little explaining
they were removed, now i have non, as it should have been.
so you see guys / gals it doesnt hurt to ask. this was 3/4 yrs ago

I recieved a warning from you for no reason, its not fair that you use your power to abuse of others with no reason warnings, i just wanted to participate in an event how thats a rule violation, hijacking what?, the owner of the event could tell me sorry you cant partitipate but a warning for that lmao i didn't even get a infraction on the school but i get it in a blackhat forum, the power isn't for everybody.

Complaining about an infraction in public is considered Mod Abuse.

You did not even give me a chance to respond to your PM from today about your warning from August.

How are you going to publicly rant about an infraction/warning before allowing the MOD time to respond to the direct message in which you sent?

I recieved a warning from you for no reason

I doubt that, very much so. Infractions and warnings are given without prejudice, even MOD's themselves are required to follow the same rules us regular members do. If unsure why you received a warning, your best bet, in the interest of your account and image, is to ask the MOD for clarification on the rule you broke, which you agreed not to break by joining the site; review the Terms and Rules.

Take it easy, almost every member here has received warnings/infractions, don't take it so personally. Have patience, ask for clarification, and await the MOD's response, handling it the way you did doesn't reflect the image I believe you're hoping to.

There are warnings, infractions, and bans. At least the MOD gave you a warning instead of a ban, you should see that as their effort to help you learn the rules so you can stay on the forum.

I also got 2 warnings. First one was my mistake. I did it on purpose and i know that. 2nd warning was a harsh one and was done on purpose at all with 6 points deduction. I think 2nd warning is too much harsh for me. I contacted support team and i am still waiting. we learn from mistakes and i know my mistakes.I will not create a new account in case i get ban.Good luck to everyone here. I apologize to everyone on blackhatworld team and users in case i get banned soon.
