Hosting Ideas for 100k visitors Daily

Ok, im going to go part time to and see what difference it makes to my traffic! :D

This is horrible like shit, even though maybe no correlation between them lol.

No correlation between 5xx server errors and rankings? I think you misunderstood something!

Let me explain:

1. Visitors/Crawlers(incl. Google) get 5xx errors when Ezoic present on site. Ezoic does not care about it and says it is hosting, while hosting company says it is Ezoic, other websites on the same hosting account run flawlessly.
2. Google de-indexes the affected pages ranking on position 3-5-9
3. You lose rankings! Don't you?

If you know how to set up unmanaged server then Vulte & Digital Ocean both are good

Thanks for the replies and advice guys, actually it's correct that Indonesian traffic only pays $0,5-1 per 1000 visitors lol. I'm currently looking at Vultr HF compute server with 3 cores and 8 GB memory for $48 per month. I was wondering if it's good enough for approx 100-200k visitors a day for the next 1-2 years, might go serious with this project and hire some college students as part time writers from nearby campuses. In light of this, do you guys think should i go for the 4 CPU 16 GB server instead, or even dedicated servers? I heard good things about OVH regarding their cheap prices and good specs

It's hard to get advice from my blogger friends cause they're really cheap and likes to skimp on proper servers lol

I'd say it's not enough. Had almost the same configuration on my VPS, and when I had over 10K visitors/day (across one big website and several small sites), the performance was already poor during peak hours. I had to upgrade. And bear in mind I am with a good company.
That being said, it's also about how the server is setup...

You should read my previous reply though. With 100K daily traffic you can't hope to pay less than $100 for the server.
Don't be greedy with this one, or you'll regret it later.

It depends. If your website is mostly static content and everything is cached properly, you can easily serve 100k visitors a day with that setup. I was able to serve up to 250k+ visitors/day on a Vultr similar configuration without any problems.

Just make sure you know what you're doing. Because as others have said, it can cost you a lot if you mess up.

Yeah, you are looking at the wrong place, or at least atiny part of it.

If you server is loading in 2 seconds with desktop and 10 in mobile, its not the server.. its the bad script.

Pick any vps from vultur and you are good to go, your problem is this Ezoic thing.. find a way to make it load separately without affecting your content and website.. this way the visitor would come spend time reading while the ads load.

Turn of the ads and test the speed of the website on mobile, if its good, then you don't speed optimization

try to host website on amazon aws or google cloud i have seen many people doing it for free

Just for your information there is no 3 core 8 GB ram plan available on Vultr for the Singapore location

Get rid of fucking Ezoic. I wonder why people still use them tbh.

And for the server, I would say it depends. Don't screw up this opportunity. Calculate your monthly earnings and set aside enough cash for your server fees.

If you have an AdSense account, place the ads yourself instead of looking for one shitty company that ruins your site speed completely all in the name of automatically placing ads.

AdSense auto ads works just fine and you should be good with it instead of fucking Ezoic. Damn.

And I would advice you use a Litespeed on your server (+ LSCache on WordPress) as it has superb caching capabilities that lowers the load on your server.

Goodluck.

As @Xdfffninja mentioned, caching is the most important aspect in this case. Proper caching setup and serving your images and assets from a good CDN will go way further than expensive hosting plans.

No bro. I have Ezoic. You have to get their Site Speed Accelerator program and also use plugins like Wp-Rocket and Webp images to get good metrics. Look at my settings below. One thing I can say about speed is that its all about testing different configurations and plugins to see what works best.

AdSense auto ads can slow down one's site seriously, so if you are using auto ads in your current ad network, Ezoic, I will simply recommend that you disable them. Make sure that all your ads are manually placed

for me any time I have a site that is generating any amount of good traffic I always move to a dedicated server. This way i can control anything on the server and I have all dedicated resources.

You can get some good servers starting around 50 bucks a month and then move up from there.
