Hi SEO masters,

I have a question for you. I run a magazine with 280 articles.

Now I have noticed that my article title is taken as H1. I didn't know about that - I thought it was just about the article itself.

I then added H1 to the article. This means that 1 cell actually contains 2x H1.

How big of a problem is that? I have it for all 280 articles. Do you think I should fix it?
If I adjust it, will my traffic rise?

It's better to have one h1 than two.

Yes, this is something I would recommend fixing.
One h1 is always better, but you can use multiples of the other headers, such as h2/h3/h4/h5, as long as they are used in a hierarchical fashion.

Pretty sure google can't tell me I can't have two H1 headings. I should make a page with 100 of them just so google will come to my house and beat me up.

I read an article google saying it doesnt matter as much any more. My website is the top ranking website in Sydney and I have multiple h1 on the homepage.

My visibility is 90% on a good day... my nearest competitors is like 30%

Since HTML5 H1 tags can be used multiple times, i am wondering where exactly people got the knowledge of using a single H1. Do not ask for advice if the answer is not clear, just test yourself.
