wow, impressive and I'm really happy about your achievement.been there also, it seemed like impossible to quit for 9 straight years, but now I am 10 months free of it. It is really possible you just have to get yourself up and just go with being sober. I really liked reading reddit r/leaves it was inspiring me to keep going at the dark moments![]()
well, there are quite a few things that got much better, memory, appetite, etc, but for the most, I think I like that now I am less paranoid and my thoughts are much straighter and I am less worried/anxious and I don't need to worry about running out of stuff/meeting with crooked dealers or get raided by cops and so on. Now I am trying to learn to code and build some decent business online, back when I was smoking I also was doing a similar thing but back then I was just jumping around from idea to idea without achieving anything actually, now it seems I am much better at doing thiswow, impressive and I'm really happy about your achievement.
Now when you're 10 months clean, what are the most significant changes you can feel in your daily life?
Ok, I will definitely check r/leaves out!
yes the principles laid out in this book are the only way to really quit tobacco for good, read it many times and it really helped to quit cigarettes, even though I relapsed couple times, I still managed to get done with it eventually all thanks to the principles of Allen Carr!Do read the book The Easy way to stop smoking by Alan Carr. It was super helpful for me in dealing with a different addiction.
thanks, bro! I wish you luck with your own journey there!Big up from a fellow addict (recovering alcoholic). Sobriety is amazing!
I don't smoke cigs for 7 months now I was able to quit cigs after I started to go to the gym - it just didn't go together, I switched to vaping but now I rarely vape + it seems to go well with staying away from weed as for now, but you can never have too many books in your library, I will check it out, thanks!Do read the book The Easy way to stop smoking by Alan Carr. Great, I can relate most of the things, but I never had any issue with my appetite, now I began to practice water fasting, to clean my body completely.well, there are quite a few things that got much better, memory, appetite, etc, but for the most, I think I like that now I am less paranoid and my thoughts are much straighter and I am less worried/anxious and I don't need to worry about running out of stuff/meeting with crooked dealers or get raided by cops and so on. well yes when you smoke you have munchies and eat like a pig, but once you run out of herb you hardly can swallow a bite, but now after quitting it, all got back to normalthanks, bro! I wish you luck with your own journey there!

1. Yes, meth is an objectively "bad" chemical. Anything that readily creates dependancy, has a propensity to create a myriad of serious psychological problems, creates serious physical issues, and generally leads users to fuck their lives up with the choices they make while they're on it is objectively bad. It comes down to risk, ie. if a chemical has a high risk of creating the conditions above it is objectively dangerous, even if there is a tiny fraction of people that can somehow harmlessly take it. If most people that take it (overwhelming) do harm to themselves and their lives, it's not about the person it's about the drug. You're blaming meth and heroin, they are just substances that exist on our planet. They aren't good or bad, positive or negative. How people choose to use or abuse them is what's bad or negative. "Meth" in it's legal, prescription form is used to treat a host of illnesses just as heroin or opiates are. Some people function just fine and can handle taking them as prescribed, others abuse them. Of course these are the extreme, as they are highly addictive but this is information that in 2020, we are aware of. Again, it's a personal responsibility to be an adult and stop blaming a substance that can't choose how it's used and we begin to put the blame where it belongs on the person. Instead of putting these people in jail, we should be offering reform and helping them stop using whatever substance they can't control themselves around, whether it be a "drug" or any other object people can't control themselves with. Again, and for the last time as I feel I've beat this horse to death, blaming your weakness on an inanimate object is the problem. I don't see how anyone would think they could kick any habit until they admit that the problem isn't with that object but within themselves. You say, "lot's of people that have drawbacks" but science says about 3.8% of people experience adverse effects, with the most common reported being paranoia. That's not a lot and there are ZERO studies that have proved any psychological effects on fully developed, adult brains. Again, you're quoting the reefer madness, D.A.R.E information the government has indoctrinated us with in the last 70 years. It works because you have quoted it several times, while there is a TON of scientific research out there that dismisses all the propaganda you posted.
Everyday we learn more about Cannabis through scientific research now that it's becoming legal. The sad part is we could have known all of the amazing benefits from this plant many years ago if not for racist, xenophobic laws that were only used as a way to control people. The reason I'm so passionate is I've personally seen and experienced the amazing benefits and have to listen to people who have never actually researched any of this tell me "their opinion", which is only made up of the BS they have been told. Luckily the worlds changing and more and more people are actually researching for themselves and the truth is coming out, but it's the same scenario as advances in Science.
It's not that Science advances so fast and we discover all of this new information all of the sudden. A lot of this stuff we have or learn about only becomes "normal" or accepted when the older generation, who have been fed a whole lot of BS their entire life about something, die off and the new technology or information then becomes the norm. People hate change and are reluctant to attempt change. If we all just sit around and allow misinformation about something to happen, we will never see the change that is needed. The most ridiculous example of this is the number of people in PRISON for a fucking plant! Whether anyone agrees or disagrees with me, I will post the facts as they have been presented to me by Scientist, researchers, physicians and people who spend time learning and teaching about this subject. I try to leave my personal feelings out of this but it's difficult when you have personally experienced the amazing benefits I have.
Congrats OP, doing well clearlyUpdate.
3rd week done, now on the road to 1 month clean from weed.
Feeling amazing. Literary right now I'm on a train to Denmark to start my new job and save up money for my big ecomm plan later this year.
I will try to spend this summer as much away from my PC as I can, I'm really tired from sitting in front of the PC all the time, little tech detox will not hurt and I think that later coming back to IM I will have more ideas and bigger drive to do the things I want to achieve.
this my "journey" is not only about quitting weed it is about changing my boring life for 360 degrees and proving to all my family and friends that I really mean and believe to what I say, as now they all think I'm just a junkie and won't do anything in my life.
Have an amazing week everybody, lets get it!
thanks mate! I must, hahaCongrats OP, doing well clearly![]()

This is pure ignorance. Cannabis isn't a "drug", it's a medicine and just like any substance in the world someone can become addicted. I own 2 Brick and Mortar businesses and cleared upper 6 figures last year and work harder than most people I know. Using Cannabis is the ONLY way I made it through Chemotherapy and the recovery afterwards. Your statement should be "weak people can have negative consequences from anything". There's no such thing as "good" or "bad" drugs. There are only drugs, people choose whether to use them in a good or bad way. Lumping in every user of Cannabis as "druggies" or "lazy" is the most ignorant thing I've seen in a while. My 97 year old grandfather smokes daily and doesn't have to rely on any "pharmaceuticals" to function.
Some people can't handle Cannabis, some people can't handle food or alcohol, but your generalized statement about people who do being lazy is just completely wrong.
