Mirror any website you want and edit it?

I'm quite curious if somebody is using this method in real life:
Quickly edit and rebuilt a website, by downloading a program that can mirror any website!

I am a complete noob when it comes to HTML and editing code...
But YouTube showed me something so easy I just had to try it!

There is a program that let's you download (almost) any website to your computer, and you can edit the code very easily by searching the file names (Text, images, videos, reflinks) with CTRL+F in the code.

Could it be this easy to re-make any website that you like and make it your own withing hours?
I've downloaded a website that I liked for educational purposes, I can edit the code if I want to...

Is there anyone that is using this strategy already and what is your experience?
Or is there something fishy about this that I just can't seem to smell just yet?!

illegal only if you publish or use what downloaded .

now if you alter it , that classed as new and not illegal.

That's the one!
Amazing program and you can learn a lot about the structure of the page and how it's set-up.
You can also download a website with a lot of information on it, so you can read it even without an internet connection.
Still would like to hear someones story on working with this!

It's called HTTrack Website Copier you should check it out on YouTube before you download it.

Yes we can download the html copy of a website and we can add edit anything to the site and publish
Few years ago one of my client did this method
He send me the site name so i copy it edit it and republish it with under different domain name
we did it bulk

we didn't get any DMCA issues

What if copied website has good blog articles.

Can also use word spinner to make it look as new original article on your blog?

I also thought about doing this. Not by httrack but php scraping.

I learned scraping & it’s amazing. I can clone any website. Good thing is that I don’t clone, I just pick what I want from the site ( eg links, or posts) and display on website

I use ip rotator, so I don’t get ban from that website
