Have anyone noticed how Weebly, Google books, and other rubbish websites have climbed to top for many low to medium competition keywords?
Anyone experienced this with his clients or own websites?
Even for some branded keywords; or kw with relevant articles but they're not anywhere close to the page 1
This is really frustrating! Don't know if the guys at google are aware of the tragedy they're causing (for both users and content creators)
It's sad we became this dependant on a few tools and companies! We should start thinking about some serious alternatives..

Yeah, it's unfortunate that it's still like that, months after the first big update from November. They obviously don't want any sites ranking unless it's an already established high authority site. I strongly believe they're doing this so we do Google Ads. Definitely a crash grab on their end, indeed.

Yes, Pinterest is everywhere at the min

I noticed this as well. Pinterest is LITERALLY EVERYWHERE in the SERPs.

While you do see them a lot when working in micro niches, I definitely feel as if I'm seeing 10 times more Pinterest results in the search engine results.

Just an observation from me as well.

I've also noticed parasites with really short content ranking crazy well.

Google Sites is dominating as well.

Now that you mention it, i have seen a lot of google book ranking in the top 10 and top 20 for some normal keywords

Even when searching for personal things, non work related searches (I'm in the casino niche) the serp results are awful. I'm trying to look for gazebos, holidays, hotels etc and results suck

Can anyone share an example? I don't see a difference anywhere.

I'd have to say Pinterest is at the top for outranking everything. I've also noticed these too: Peatix, Issu, Over-Blog, and FlipHTML5. Basically, they're favoring low quality content over high quality content.

Go stupid.

I also work in sport betting sites. May I know which sites you own?

Google knows about this. They don't do shit to fix it.

Maybe they don't want to fix. There could be $$$ involved in this.

It’s a new mini update I’m sure google agent @bartosimpsonio will be reporting it soon

I tried meeting my sources but they're all social distancing.

Whenever they ask about my sites, I start coughing on purpose and they jump back. LOL pandemic sucks.

Absolutely on purpose. I bet they have a lot more people going for PPC now instead of SEO.

Not only that, but their own links to their own affiliates too.

Google probably makes commission from referrals from the "organic" search.

It's been going on for a long time.

Naughty bart :D :p

Coughing is worse than a fart right now.

You can fart and everyone will approve.

If you cough they jail you or something.

Fuck me sideways and call me a cunt, are you kidding me? I was thinking about that earlier today. How long will it be until Google rank their own "properties" or just show plain affiliate links in SERP?

RIP.

Whaddya mean how long UNTIL?

You think it's not happening for like 10+ years?

The referrer would be the trigger. Google doesn't need to set a REF tag!

I just mean, no websites ranking at all. Each top 10 is just an affiliate link owned by Google. :p But yeah you're right.
