I'm sorry, I completely forgot to reply to this question.
I usually test traffic directly with the offer/product page. There is no point at the beginning to invest time in building additional pages and the whole email marketing sequence if you don't know how good your traffic is. And instead of building squeeze pages and collecting emails I get them into messenger lists where I get their email as a second step.

1. Yes, it is safe. Finding a high authority page with related content is the whole point of using these links. I used every possible news site
2. I don't understand why it would be a problem for Adsense. You are driving traffic as you would from any other traffic source.
Scrapping emails bring so much hassle that is not really worth it for me.
First, I prefer the quality of active people. If your plan is to email to that list you might end up with quite a useless list. You will get more than half of those that don't use the email anymore because they signed up with it to open a FB account years ago and never change it. All of this if you have a solution to actually get to their inbox.
Second, it's not worth risking my advertising account to import these types of list.
Yes, this can take a month to see some results, but it takes small amount of time to set up everything. 100% worth it

I stumbled upon this gold method (thanks OP) - using Method 1 (i.e. with short links). Trying out for two niches.
Fist niche - no problem in posting so far.
Second niche - more groups but i only post to fewer than 10 groups ... got flagged by FB for breaching community standards for spam. Any suggestion on what I should look out for?
