Look at this Bitcoin scam!

I cant be the only one that has stumbled across these streams recently...

If you go to YouTube and search 'btc' and filter to only show live streams, you will see there are several streams showing previous talks or speeches by influential individuals such as Steve Wozniak or Jack Ma. They put these speeches on loop and overlay some fancy graphic showing some HUGE BITCOIN giveaway!

They state that whatever volume of BTC you send to their wallet, they will send you back double. They set up the stream to make it look like the giveaway is hosted by these influential people so unsuspecting viewers think they can get some quick and easy Bitcoin.

Here are a couple of the streams that are up as of now:
(70,000 live viewers as of posting time)
(37,000 live viewers as of posting time)
(9,000) live viewers as of posting time)

I took one of the bitcoin addresses from one of the streams that was up yesterday and blockchain shows that over $80,000 was sent to it within 9 hours.
See for yourself here: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1Steve12WfLHV1wn1awkKyNgdR4qoAWd3

I am certain that all 3 of the streams that I have linked are ran by the same person, and they all use different Bitcoin addresses.

You can only begin to imagine how much this large scale scammer is making from all the streams. Considering they have most likely been doing this for a long time already, I would not be surprised if he is holding 7-8 figures in USD worth of bitcoin.

Do people really fall for this? Is this guy getting away with such a huge scale operation? How long has he been doing this? What does he do with all this money?...So many questions.

What do you all think about this? As scummy and immoral as it is, its very interesting.

This is not the only way. I saw another one some weeks back. Someone had set up a landing page showing Elon Musk is giving away BTC. They asked the users for any random amount to be deposited to verify their BTC address and in return they'd get back double the amount. Lol. There are a lot of gullible people out there and some scumbags are cashing the greed.

No you are not the only one.. FULL thread here..

What I always think is that the people who fall for this stuff are allowed to vote, and are allowed to drive. It's no wonder the world is in such a state.

You know it is very easy to run these scams and make a lot of money but one should never actually do this. Karma will punish such people on its own.

Incredible. Although it seems that he is buying viewers and upvotes to make it credible.

Indeed, I've seen these as well. In fact, I remember a year or two ago, twitter was plagued with these scams. Fake Elon Musk profiles using the same strategy etc. Like you said, there are a LOT of gullible people out there.

My thoughts exactly!

I hope people reading this thread don't pick up the idea and do it themselves. Desperation to make money is going to be at an all time high in the coming days.

He will have his own bot to generate such a huge number of live viewers. Most SMM panels charge quite a lot for live stream views, and he wouldn't want to rely on an external service.

You are completely right. I could probably set up a stream like this in 1-2 hours but of course would never do so. I like the sense of reward when you earn money, I would feel nothing but guilt doing this.

In fact, they don't buy anything. Look into those Youtube channels. They are hijacked ... is a discussion from yesterday were I detailed all this. This is just a double POST because OP didn't have the patience to search. This is under discussion from yesterday. Maybe @MisterF will join them.

Here it is the other post: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/look-at-this-bitcoin-scam.1230423/

I'll edit the post to express this. Even if a small handful did give it a go, those that resort to scamming are 99% of the time the less intelligent people so I doubt they would do it with any success.

Someone had posted this yesterday and not sure how people fall for such scams, and why does YouTube and google even allow it

Didn't see the post about it yesterday. I'm new to BHW so forgive me if I make any mistakes here.

Apologies, I didn't see the post about it yesterday. But I agree, I can't imagine these streams stay up for very long at all.

This is the oldest scam in BTC. There were once many sites on the darknet offering exactly the same "service"
