Apps journey to 2k/day within a year

I don't use outside ads currently. Startapp outside is not worth it in my opinion

What do you mean by saying you show ads on click? I was asking about outside of app ads :)

before you obliviously know it Identify a minimally viable solution set. Go ahead and keep update.

How much money is needed for one to get in the app business? I have some coding skills, been coding mostly web apps.
I know i need $25 for google play store account, how much should i spend on ads and stuff like that?

One day google will close Play Market and you will spent months or years to find another IM income.
Lmfaaaaao what a joke.. So google gonna close the google play and there is snapchat in it , facebook and tiktok etc.. are u fucking kidding me?

What about fb and tiktok? I'm not kidding. Google can make play market to be hard. Accept only skilled apps which can made by big companies. Or change ASO algorithm and be like Google where you can't get free traffic and you must have 1000000 quality backlinks to be visible in Play Market.

But u said to close the market and that is impossible buddy. And trust me they change the algo so many times and just look for google and youtube they ( it's their main focus ) and people still find a way to beat the system , that's why we call ourselves internet marketers aka we find solutions for a problem.. So you should stop thinking like that and take action instead of thinking what may happend in the future= profit from now

Bro, nothing is actually permanent. Even tiktok and facebook will probably die, thats why for instance FB eats up every new competition when it is afraid. I mean we will all die one day, but for now and i know for many more years it is possible to make money in apps or many other IMs, so instead of looking into the future(unspecified) and being afraid, its better to seize the present and earn whatever you can

You're right, Google can make things hard, and they have been progressively from day one. Platforms tend to always sucker you in with all this freedom, then gradually get locked down when they become "too big to fail" and now you are under their rules.
That is the reality of online business in modern day -- even with VPS, domain registrars, payment processors -- they can FUCK YOU almost anytime they want, even if you have a healthy whitehat "legit" business model.

Thats being said, what sweeside is doing is absolutely the way to go. He's gaming as much as he can, while trying to fly under the radar, and optimizing away a big chunk of the whole "create an app" portion by modifying existing sources, and thus being able to scale to the numbers needed to make a respectable profit. And look, he's banking hard. I don't think he's going to look back anytime soon, even if his entire operation is shut down, and think "awww man, I shoulda not collected thousands of dollars over months working from home because now its all gone".

The world unfortunately isn't run "fairly". There is no truly "safe" business model. Bank hard and fast has always been the BH motto. The big guys do as they please and circumvent rules the rest of the "peasants" have to follow. Gotta adapt and carve out your own slice of the pie, giving yourself any advantage you can over the other millions of hungry mouths wanting their own taste.

I see a lot of cons in app earning:
1) Really I don't believe that people like to install apps, to cut their app RAM. Most people use only profi apps like FB, Filemanager, Video Player and other important apps. If you create wallpaper app I doubt if anybody wants to install this. Because without Java coding you only will be able to create wallpaper app or something like this. And you can only do that by appbuilders like Admobo, Appygen if you not java coder.
2) to have a lot of installs you must have 200 such stupid useless apps. You must have 200 different codes, or you must change 200 times your code, so I think it impossible to change source of code 200 times.
3) 200 apps it is 200 original descriptions of these apps. If your English is not native it will be difficult. Also, you must have like 500 original pictures to pass Google rules. And 200 promo videos of your apps.
4) About Google ban. It is look like if you get banned your dev account you must create new dev accounts and new adsense account. It will be difficult to withdraw cash from new adsense account. Because you have old bank visa card, which was used in previous adsense account.
5) and if you get banned you must create new 200 apps with changed codes, with new 500 pics and new 200 descriptions of apps.
6) you must have always installs it require doing updates of your apps very often, so users will start use app again and see ads.
But my main point nobody uses these stupid apps. Many people use only few popular apps+ browsers on their mobile phones.

Dev account, research, hardwork/time.
For source code, you can use open source apps and obfuscate it if it's a popular repository .

That is the bare minimum requirement buddy.

You are probably right that a crapton of people only use "the big few" trusted apps. But reality is, world has 7billion+ people, and a big chunk of those have mobile phones. Every day, new people come into the market. Many of these people are 'new to tech' and to them just seeing an 'app store' is like going into the Chocolate Factory and dancing around with 10,000 different candies to taste and try out.

You also have to realize the average user (remember, we're not talking about guys like you and me who are very intelligent and experienced with tech.) isn't that security conscious nor clever. They have big trust into Google Play Store and their beloved Apple, and if they don't like something they just uninstall (some users don't even understand how to do that!). It is very low risk for them to try random apps, even if they look shit, because its low risk for them.

Fact is, you see the numbers. Apps and games DO get downloaded. Maybe they quickly get uninstalled, maybe the users use it cause they don't know any better. THAT is the window you have to make a few cents -- between the install and the uninstall. Make a penny per user, and you've succeeded ;)

2) to have a lot of installs you must have 200 such stupid useless apps. You must have 200 different codes, or you must change 200 times your code, so I think it impossible to change source of code 200 times.

Indeed, its not some braindead click-a-button-and-get-rich system, it takes work, writing, photo editing, reverse engineering, and financial investment. You won't be submitting 200 apps overnight (usually). But you spread your risk across multiple accounts, play it smart, and day by day build your empire. Some projects will fall due to banning, some due to shitty apps nobody wants, but you keep going. Some will become money printers for a while.

For whitehat websites you gotta write 100's of longass articles, and your website might get banned from the engines and your income wiped out randomly even though you did "nothing wrong". For IG and other spammy type routes, you gotta constantly bot and pray you don't wake up the next day with your accounts permabanned and months of slow growth and investment down the toilet. Youtube you put in hundreds of hours of video editing and creation and research, interacting with your userbase etc... and the tube can cut your views, stop showing you, and prevent your subs from getting notifications "just because".

4) About Google ban. It is look like if you get banned your dev account you must create new dev accounts and new adsense account. It will be difficult to withdraw cash from new adsense account. Because you have old bank visa card, which was used in previous adsense account.

I agree with you here -- dev accounts and ad accounts (and if you're creating them yourself, the costs of business registration and banking \ new credit cards, rental addresses and phone numbers, etc..) is IMO the biggest annoyance and roadblock to this. sweeside seems to have this sorted in his own way, I guess buying accounts and whatever other clever methods he has in place to ensure getting paid. Not easy -- but dude, look at what his daily earnings are -- if you can pull it off, its absolutely worth it.

6) you must have always installs it require doing updates of your apps very often, so users will start use app again and see ads.
But my main point nobody uses these stupid apps. Many people use only few popular apps+ browsers on their mobile phones.
Nah you don't have to update, depends how you're playing it. If you're going a long term whitehat route, yes -- but then you're not likely to be doing volume either, cause WH means no stealing source code, you gotta put mad hours (or funds) into developing the apps. Let me state my opinion on this: This is totally different than what OP is doing, and is dangerous, because you have a hell of a lot more invested, and more to lose when they ban your one legit source of income, and it doesn't scale easily.

I totally see where you're coming from dude, this stuff isn't easy, there are roadblocks and its not "safe". But what else should you do?
- Media buying and arbitrage type stuff, absolutely, but that also carries risk and requires tons of capital and dealing with high limit accounts (and account replacement).
- The manual work ewhoring? Earning cents from popup ads? Sweating in your sleep because IG might ban your entire account network tomorrow? Porn uploading (deal with banned accounts here too)?

Virtually everything is either depending on Google, FB, IG, Reddit, Twitter, PP, eBay, Amazon in some way or another... you're at their mercy. Accounts get banned, websites get delisted, money gets frozen, limits get imposed, "ID verification" gets requested. This shit is totally fucked up, there is always something.

Fully whitehat SaaS products, or huge website networks, or B2B services -- different world so I won't go into those. But they bring on other annoyances like providing support, dealing with people face to face, and usually very long development and growth phases before a reasonable income is established.

Everything is viable, of course. There are big players in all of these niches and methods, but far far more who barely earn cents. If you ask me, this app reskinning stuff has a higher probability of earning at least some DOLLARS per day within a shorter timeframe. To me, that is a winner.

@dkv023, What would you suggest as an alternative?

1. Uhm, no? Have you done keyword research on search volume for keywords like "cat game" or "free VPN app" etc? I seriously doubt it.

2. Again, no? Why would you need 200 apps to have a lot of installs? Makes absolutely no sense. It's like saying you need 200 websites to make money with SEO.

3. Even if you had to upload 200 apps (where do you get this from?), you can just outsource the content writing. I do.

4. That's not a big deal? That's like when you need to make a new website because Google update hit your site.

5. You don't need "unique" pictures or whatever you're talking about. I just uploaded two apps with copyrighted images, it passed the reviews without any issue. Also, what 200 apps? Also, who would upload 200 apps on one account?

6. So? You get new installs all the time if you run paid traffic or rank for a keyword with ASO. Just like with SEO.

People definitely use "these stupid apps" and I speak from experience. There are games where you literally just click on the screen with 10 million+ downloads.

You know that probably 70% of the phone users don't even know what RAM means? Just because you don't use the apps, don't think no one does (seriously, are you kidding?).

Unfortunately my account is new so i can't post links but theres a dude who has well over 5 apps on google play and apple app store and he gets only about $15 per month from admob.

Yeah? You can have 1,000 apps and make $0 if you don't use paid traffic or rank for keywords. Just as you can have https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/made-250k-in-16-months-first-game-ever-ama.1126346/.

What would you expect if you just blindly upload apps on the Play Store without keyword research and/or paid traffic?

Not meaning to hijack your thread @sweeside

Yeah i know. My point is, people need to lower their expectations. Money doesn't come easy.

Can you explain about FAN earning? Is it like admob ad company? Is it again rules TOS Google Play? Can you use app only with FAN and without admob? Is it blackhat method? Is it bring less earning than admob?

OMG I love your journey so much that I bookmarked this page. I'm an app developer. Although I don't quite understand why you talked about niches instead of genre, I will continue to follow this journey of yours.
Thank you very much. :)
You remind me of myself. I felt the same way with Valar Instagramis 5k/day journey and I had actually bookmarked that thread like you, about a year back when I joined bhw. Good luck!
Well, niches are deeper than genres. You mean categories by genre right?
Yeah? You can have 1,000 apps and make $0 if you don't use paid traffic or rank for keywords. Just as you can have one app making $400,000.

What would you expect if you just blindly upload apps on the Play Store without keyword research and/or paid traffic?

Exactly! Nah man, I actually appreciate your activity :)

Fan earning is almost always less than admob. It also has low fill rate usually. So if you have 70% fill rate that's 30% earnings down the drain. No its not. You can use it with admob or without. No it's not blackhat.

UPDATE:
Tired af from moving into new house today. New house is so chill.. spacious and better air.. its feels so much better.. I was living in a single rented room with 2 cats. I love their freedom in this new house.. Going to work now(after I setup my custom surveillance camera). Earnings might pass 1k today or tomorrow :)

That's fucking awesome dude, $1k a day keeps the doctor away. Congratulations on that and the new house. :)

I have a question for you; How long does it normally take for an app to index in Google Play Store? If my app is called "cat dog game" and I search for it, it can't be found. If I search for "cat_dog_game" with underscores, I'm #1. The app(s) have been live for over 5 days now.

So it's look like FAN is safer than admob and easy to create new FAN acc if you get banned? It's easier to withdraw money.
If you get banned dev account it's not safer to pay $25 to new dev acc by old credit card or old paypal?
FAN it is Facebook Audience Network? If yes It doesn't make sense to use it. Because it is the same difficult to create account like admob.
