Hello everyone!

This is my first journey. Here's a little background.

About two years, i tried making white hat android apps but they got installs slowly and earning was shit. And then i stumbled upon a lucky blackhat niche, it earned about 100/day on average and hit more than 1k/day on few seasons.

That niches keyword died after a year and i had to move to find a new niche. There's lots of niches in play store if you have time and know how to look for them. So starting from 8 months ago, i tried many different niches with some success. But developer account problems continued to haunt me repeatedly. I had thought the problem was from my provider's side, and i constantly tried to switch providers and vccs after each association. My apps were getting terminated by association after a month or so, even though other developers apps in same niches survived to millions installs. The best installs i did in the last 8 months was 90k installs. My max made in these months was 2.5k/mo with the help of a trick. Mostly about 1k. 90% of my apps were terminated for association.

And then recently i discovered the reason was my faulty ip setting.

I lost a lot of time and i feel very demotivated and stressed out now. These kinds of experiences can be a life lesson on humility if one knows how to take it. And there's worse stuff. But anyway i dont really have options but to look up and continue marching forward, my chest out. ;)

So now i am using paid rdps to release apps and i am sure if there's no association i will grow steadily. Even though my budget is limited now, i think i can fund it on side hussles by selling services and source codes etc..

I know what i have to do, i know great niches, i have load of experience, all that is left for me to do is concentrate and grind. Release with right aso and maybe market initially and wait...

My general plan now is to release apps in different niches. And spam the powerful and safer ones moderately. Yes, white hat is really good in the long term so i am also gonna give that some time. I am focusing on fast bh returns because i need to give money for a some members of my family that need it. But i have this gut feeling calm and steady is way better.

I will do some initial marketing some of the apps with some social media and th accs.

Apps stats now:-

Bh Apps:

1 - 5+ installs
2 - 10+ installs
----
Wh apps:

3 - 500+ installs
4 - 1K+ installs
----

5 pending publication apps(3 bh, two wh)
----

Planning to release 1 bh & 1 wh app today.

More to go!

You can ask me questions. :)

I am also planning to release games asap and partner up with a couple of good people. Might also try iOS once i have some time.

In this journey, i will try to be as helpful as possible for those interested. Hopefully, it will also help me gather and organize my thoughts and work. :)

Hop in!

Following! looking to start doing apps soon myself, I have a couple of questions, if you don't mind?

1. How do you develop your apps, do you develop them yourself, buy source code, re-skin apps or use public source code?
2. What type of apps do you use mostly, games, guides, quiz, tools, etc...?
3. What makes an app 'black hat'? Its content or its methods of monetisation?

Good luck with this!

Do you code your self ?
I code when i have to reskin or update features for ratings. I mostly reverse.
You use admob for ads?
Yeah admob most of the apps. And sometimes FAN. But it might be a good idea to use shittier ad networks to keep earning after app is suspended.

I reverse mainly, also sometimes use opensource. In some apps, i do some coding for better features. its been a year since i made apps from scratch. Dont plan to do so near future

2. What type of apps do you use mostly, games, guides, quiz, tools, etc...?
I mostly ride existing big traffic from major apps. Example: Facebook
I also use generic niches around shared areas of interests. For instance, music, tv, porn

Both variants can be bh/gh/wh. And they can be combined for maximum effect ;)

It breaks Google policy. It can be either content or monetization

Thanks for the answers, how do you reverse engineer an app? get the apps .APK and then unpackage it to get its source code? Did you learn how on BHW?

There's might be more advanced tools but i use jadx and apktool. Yes. I learned by my own.

FAN means facebook ads network

they stop showing ads after app got romoved from store like admob

i do reverse too ussing apktool and for 3d games and unity i use devx

how do you manage multi account do you use sock5proxy

also how do you manage to avoid admob ads serving limitation

Yeah bro i am also looking forward to reverse unity now. I use paid rdps. Your gonna have to find these by yourself. There are safe us/uk/china rdps for about 10$/mo or less.. Alright bro, this is a trick that i have not tested, a friend told me recently. Since your a reverser, i will encode the answer to your question about admobs ads serving limitation: Sanskrit word "diana" ;) But anyway.. you can use startapp they show ads after app is suspended.

What kind of BH ;) ?!
Nothing interesting now, i do cloaking occasionally. Just apps that break policy. Once i get good traffic i will try blackhat monetization.. like outside app ads.. But yeah i plan to try editing admob sdk to bypass ad serving limitation and maybe some click fraud as well. But my prior focus rn is get traffic. :) @rachid2012

SMALL UDPATE:

App 1 > 10+ installs.

I have tried this bh niche 5 months ago. There were like 10 apps then maximum. Now about 100. But it seems niche is still good. Will spam more with more optimized ASO cause its a great niche.

What ad network do you use for outside ads?!

Admob/startapp. Admob riskier but you can cloak and limit the traffic so acc is not banned
I recently start using startapp, increasing my app uninstall and I think they pay for install not click, decreases my ecpm day by day. What is your opinion about this ads Network??

Do your bh apps sell installs?

Hi, I was doing apps some years ago and I want to get in the "game" again. If you are using multiple dev accounts do you use multiple admob accounts as well? Because I think the ads account would link your dev accounts if it is the same used in all dev accounts ...

I think startapp is better than the shittier ad networks. Ecpm is shit ofc but they are not as strict as the rest.

Good luck with the journey.

Thanks!

Not now.

You dont have to use multiple admob. In my experience using old admob accounts, google play accounts are not related.

But do you notice the increase of uninstall of your app after using startapp? And do you use splash ads?

No, i don't think there's increase in uninstall rate. Is there decrease in your install rate? Maybe that's why your ecpm is dropping.
