I mean, for the past 2/3 days traffic to my sites has gone down.

I have checked and rechecked with webmaster, moz, ahrefs, semrush.

the keywords have not been affected.

question is: are people coming online less? surf less? has coronavirus hit web traffic too?

I've seen a dramatic drop in affiliate orders and a decrease in traffic. I've also seen some other people post about seeing a drop.

With COVID19 being such big news a lot of people are focused on the essentials. My affiliate sites are for luxury items and therefore will get fewer hits at the moment.

A lot of traffic is coming from people surfing the web in the boss time. But now everybody is home. f@cking them self whit coronabeer.

Nobody buying a dress or a new Aliexpress product.

From 900 orders a mond. Only 1 this mond.

2020 is lost. But I hope not . But looks like it. But really I hope not.

I'm trying to take a positive spin on this. I've seen a large drop in day-to-day traffic and orders to my sites due to this, but do you know what that tells me? I've focused on a single income stream. I'm going to use this as a prompt for me to start diversifying and start another website that is focused primarily on ad traffic.

Obviously this won't pay any dividends until, hopefully, COVID19 is a distant memory (or we're all zombies) but I can't imagine this will be the last major virus that we will face during the 2020s.

It would be really interesting to see what is happening to the traffic to sites like PornHub. I'm guessing it will be going up quite considerably.

I think now Internet traffic should grow, as everyone is afraid and sitting at home + all public places in many countries are closed and also all entertainment only on the Internet remains

I have also witnessed a drop in traffic in past 3 days even though keywords are stable at their spot. People right now are more focused towards panic buys instead of normal routine. Hopefully, things will go well after few weeks.

400% up here, and no not in anyway connected to news/virus. Sites in insurance, brokers/stocks have soared way up for me. Traffic literally tripled since most ppl stay home here. Traffic is down in travel/ finance though.. but that is kinda logical.

I does noticed, is kinda epic, here By right should be traffic increase than normal day? Of course depend your niche.
Why I say traffic should increase , because Most people will be working from home or going out lesser or been quarantine .

for my country , is 14 days cannot go out if been ask to quarantine .

So sure a lot will be online. I even received email from big corporation claim they still operate but will do more communication via email and claim their workers still give support but from home

I feel drop ship might affect abit too , depend what u sell . Because people know now shipment will take longer due to checks etc

your niche is always on high search perhaps come to insurance , stocks worst last week market is totally bad , surely a lot will search about stock info see what to watch out, when buy etc stuffs.

but for me , music, fashion , beauty , kinda drop ...

I've also learnt the hard way to diversify. Don't get too many properties, though, as the more you have, the harder it'll become to manage and mantain each one of them. Right now I'm focusing in 2-3 properties and it's working like a charm.

I think I know why, traffic dancing around these period...... because people BUSY GO OUT BUY grocceries, the Q is so freaking long . It like will take whole day just for you buying your stuffs from supermarket etc.
thus where got time surf , even on mobile perhaps.
