You don't need to wait till your skills are perfect, but you must set your pricing according to your skill level and proficiency. Personally, my first clients were a bunch of friends who wanted me to write content for their blogs and landing pages. Then I started taking writing gigs on freelance sites. Fast forward a couple of years, I started my content writing BST on BHW.

I would suggest you write up some sample articles and then create a BST thread on the marketplace.
There is a huge demand for good writers on this forum.

Your skills will never be perfect and you should always be continuously learning.

As for places to go, there are subreddits dedicated to hiring freelance writers, Upwork, Fiver, BHW, and so many more places you can go to and get your name/offer out there. It's a saturated field so you're going to have to do something to make your service different than others.

You shouldn't wait. Just start to write, offer it for free ask for genuine feedback. Understand what you can improve.

You can't correct your mistake until if someone tells you. So start doing it now.

Of course, you can't satisfy everyone. there will some criticism even if you did everything perfectly.

Programming a script to deliver a list of potential new clients that had launched businesses every day and then automatically outreached to them with an AB tested email template. You get much higher paying clients than you would using a marketplace where you're competing with 100,000 other people, and clients don't fuck with you as much because they don't have a list of other writers just sitting there begging them to hire someone new.

If you're writing for companies where you can tell that the quality needs to be primo, don't start until you've practiced enough not to lose that client after one week.

If you can tell the client is a small business and that they're not really at the same level as a large company, you can probably use them to test the waters with your writing skills. If you don't get sacked by a small business then you can use them for paid practice before looking for more professional (aka higher paying) clients.

No need to wait for time. Post it on Fiverr, Freelancer or any freelance website With the minimum Price. To increase your skill ask for a review and correct your mistakes by learning.

I did copywriting until recently. I'd suggest taking a course at Udemy. I did and I think it made the difference in getting approved at Upwork and a few other sites for freelancing. There are a few very good teachers there. Do a search and check it out. Good luck.

Oh no it's definitely viable. There is a lot of work for good writers. I just meant that I wasn't doing it right now. I might start again at some point.

I'm not a copywriter myself, I am a dropshipper, but just checking out the situation for copywriters who I might need.

You can give free review copies to potential clients . If the quality of content is good, you will surely get buyers.

Just sign up on the various content writing platforms available (think: upwork, freelancer, textbroker, iwriter and others) and start bidding for any decent work that comes along.

One question, though? How do you rate your writing skills. If you are just starting out, i suggest you consider starting with iwriter or freelancer.com.

But if your skills are good, then upwork or textbroker can be great options. Just get some reviews from friends or whoever (as someone suggested) and your account will be good to go.
