Hello everyone,

I love going through the money making section here because of the ideas that people bring to the table. That being said I'm pretty new to IM in general. I understand the concepts that are being posted here in regards to IM and Affiliate Marketing. My problem is not knowing where to start...

I want to be able to bring in traffic but how do I set up my first money making link? What is a good website to start with? How do I set up my first pay per click link so that I can begin to use these methods??

Thank you so much. A referral to a youtube video, website, forum, post, anything that can give me some info. Even personal help and advice on how to start here would be amazing. Thanks again

First of all find a niche you love or you know many things about (or willing to learn). Maybe you read this all the time but believe me its very important to stay motivated.
Find the niche and the way you love to promote it (website-Youtube-IG-Facebook etc.etc.) and start building your audience.
Steady and slow you will get to the point that things are going to roll.

If you want exact methods then the whole forum here is a goldmine. Do your research and you will have everything at your fingertips.

Awesome, I've taken an SEO Udemy course and it got me to understand the fundamentals of SEO marketing. I'm wondering which affiliate marketing company or website would be the best to start with in terms of click/cash ratio. I want to be able to make some money based off of people clicking on links that I set whether it be on a reddit post, facebook ad, youtube video, website, etc.

Never searched things around PPC (pay per click) but this is the keyword you have to search about to find websites-articles related to this kind of affiliate marketing.
Clickbank is a good website to start affiliate marketing with products but its a different story to sell products vs getting clicks.

I would agree with finding a niche you love. I've had websites where I wasn't into the niche and it makes it more difficult. Getting organic SEO traffic depends on writing many posts and after a while, my experience was it became more difficult and I lost my discipline. Especially when I was writing about children's car seats or hearing loss. Yes, you can do it but it's so much easier to have a site that you're excited about and proud to show others. There is a lot of help here and there are some pretty good basic affiliate marketing courses on Udemy. Good luck.

Having a niche you love makes it easier. But it needs to be at a minimum a niche you are knowledgeable. I outsource the bulk of my content and because I am knowledgeable in what I market, I can quickly read through it and add to the content and edit as needed.

There are soo many out there, but find one that really matches your needs, think about something that you'll like to represent and promote

Thanks for the advice here. What affiliate type of affiliate programs would you consider to be the best to start with for black hat SEO? I'm thinking im going to start with the pay per click programs and commission based programs as well.

I look for programs that fit me and my knowledge. Mostly around home improvement, fitness and automotive. I use links in content and some banner ads.

Got it. I appreciate the feedback everyone's given me here. I've decided I'm going to use clickbank for revenue purposes. I'm confident that I will be able to create some quality content. I just have to make sure I monetize it the right way. The only idea I know about right now is clickbank, I don't know how to make returns through other sources such as ads, etc.

I would honestly start off reading some books on Internet Marketing

Some I can recommend (only print published books)

B2B Digital Marketing: Using the Web to Market Directly to Businesses
Book by Michael Miller
- Gives you a general explanation of marketing and how it can be applied to other businesses. Great content from a decent author. Little more on the B2B side but still very relevant

I always like to read established literature from print publishers as they provide a professional and detailed explanation. And have little bias involved with them.

All I can say is read!

I will most definitely take this advice. Seems like a good read

Reddit has been an amazing source for me for sure.

Research research research....

Reddit??? I've never seen quality content on there in regards to making money. Any subreddits you can recommend?

/r/SEO is decent-ish. Some of the all time posts there got my on the right track on my first really profitable venture.

That's pretty cool, I'm going to check it out. There is tons of information here, but if you know absolutely nothing it can be a little intimidating being the new guy asking how to get started. Thanks for the info

If you know absolutely nothing, do check those all time best on reddit. Also, probably worth checking out Backlinko, or sticky posts in several subforums here on BHW. Stick with those 3 sources. TOO much stuff to filter through on the SEO/IM world, and this can be hard for a beginner.

The fact you know and have joined this forum means you have already taken the first step! Here are some tips:

1. Be ready to read, read and read. Read as much as you can from this forum (affiliate marketing subforum for you)- read main posts and even replies. There is golden nuggets everywhere.
2. Do not have the shiny object syndrome. As a beginner, you need not pay to learn anything which is available for free elsewhere. Plan your budget.
3. Do some research on reddit and see what they are doing.
4. Plan and most importantly, EXECUTE!
5. You will get stuck - dont worry. There are 1000s of members here who will help you out

Good luck!
