Meta Description Not Shown in Bing!

Guys my site has been indexed in both Google and Bing. Google shows the meta description I set but bing shows my website URL as meta description. Is there anything else I should be doing or will solve itself in time?

Just now, I have checked one of our sites showing meta description on BING. Maybe some fetching/cache problem on your website.

I just set a meta description in my wordpress website. Not specifically to google. That's what had me worried.

Update your meta description tag then submit your meta description link again to google and bing webmaster.

Just curious - is Bing specifically important to your traffic? I've never had a client ask about it in my life. Are you actually getting any traffic from there?

Thanks for your time guys. Solved it. Was an indexing issue. Not sure why though but when I checked the crawled pages it was pointing to http:// and not https://. So i had to manually resubmit the link.

Just curious - is Bing specifically important to your traffic? I've never had a client ask about it in my life. Are you actually getting any traffic from there?

You'd be surprised by the percentage of people who still use yahoo and bing as their default search engines.
