What motivates you to keep going?

I call it the "Why" - that was told to me by a friend and its very important. Why are you doing what you are doing? You need a strong why to motivate you and if you don't have one its always going to be easier giving up when things are tough.

For me its earning money for my family and earning money to do the things I love doing. That helps me to persevere with things even when they are difficult or not going well; as long as I know that its going to generate income then I have much more motivation to continue with the task, because I know that ultimately that income will help with the things I mentioned above - supporting my family and doing things I love to do.

For you personally, if you have a family to support then that should make it easy for you because they are relying on you to look after them. If you don't have a family to support then think about the things you love doing, or things you wish you could do, but dont have the money for, that should be motivation for you.

if you don't have either of the above then chill on the work for a bit and go find something you love doing because there is much more to life them working without a goal.

You are right! Family is a main factor in my life, i have always looked upto my Parents and i feel like i haven't really done anything to support them.

Well that's something i definitely need to change. Thanks for the insights mahn, appreciate it ^^

I often find myself taking up tasks whole-heartedly but then you may not find me at the same spot the next day.

idk why but I loose motivation in an instant. I know there is money to be made but still the thought process of Getting started slow makes me loose all my interest to continue.

So... What motivates y'all to just keep going at it no matter what's the outcome?

Don't go measuring your self day by day, you'll set yourself up to fail and then get depressed and find yourself in a rut like you are now. Not everyone works at the same pace - it's being productive when it matters is what counts.

Id recommend setting your tasks by the week and check back on progress that way as long as you work 3 out of the 5 days or how every many days you work before the weekend that's productive if you ask me..

Another one that has worked well for me.

Treat life/business like a videogame.

I did well in Runescape, so I directed all that time, long-term planning, and energy into the real world. That mentality has worked well for me.

Moral of the story?

If you play videogames, then stop playing them. Treat real life as a videogame.

Dude its so simple. Money.
Though, I love how every company want their employees to be motivated by something spiritually high

My kids and expensive habits, I know it sounds shallow but im humble...

OSRS taught me how to grind for hours on the PC.

Taking pride in building something good, it's the only thing that works for me.

I found in years gone by that when I was doing IM / SEO on things I wasn't passionate about, I would soon lose motivation and give up. It's the one thing I learned in this game, that I HAVE to be working on something I'm passionate about, otherwise I give up easily.

So pick a niche that you love, and visualise a big project, something that you can grind away at day after day that will eventually become a finished product that you're proud of.

As someone mentioned above , I woudnt swap my freedom for anything else. Thats what keeps me going .

The thought of ever being homeless or being unable to provide for my family.

Thanks for this! My only terrible investment was Cryptocurrency, i was making a bank back in the day when Bitcoin was booming then i did a very bad FU investing in shitcoin... I lost a big part of my life savings - went bankrupt for a while. It all went downhill after that, started drinking - drugs and what not. I've spent these last few months thinking wtf i have been doing all along and trying to become a better version of myself.

Lots of bad choices in the past - Moving forward i don't want it to affect my 2020 journey and i hope this is the Year i flourish:p
Then 2020 is your year mate. Keep going.

I love having the independence of owning my own business and the power that comes from being able to start new ventures and test ideas with little to no money.

Sometimes things work, sometimes they don't, but the important thing to me and what keeps me motivated is knowing that time is all you need, I feel lucky everyday I wake up and see the opportunity to continue working and pursuing my dreams, some people do not even have that, I do, and I am grateful, thus I always try to make the most of it.

Always be fanatic of time, value it because it is limited but it is something that we thankfully get for free and it is kind if the one most important asset we all have to make our dreams come true.

Rewards and fear are the only reasons people do things they do.
For me, the greater the rewards or fear, the better.
So, pick any or both.

My family is behind my motivation to continue working whatever I am doing. The appreciation I get from my clients gets me motivated what I do for them. However, money is an important factor, which keeps us motivated.
