I read somewhere that by the year 2050 the world will have seen its first trillionaire. Their net worth being almost twice the US annual defence budget, some think that this "person" would be considered an international threat.

Hypothetically thinking how much power and influence do you think the world's first trillionaire would really have in this world?

How would they amass such wealth?

But a majority of his wealth would be on paper & in hands of the various international governments no?

I remember hearing Zuck was projected to be the first. Mainly because he's young enough.

No single person will be able to have that much power. I mean, power, not money. It may be a big number but it's still just money. A single person with money alone is not a threat. A group of people is.

depends on the country you are referring to.. maybe you are in USA
In Indonesia, there a thousands of trillionaires there

Ya we might see first trillionaire in few decades and they will become a trillionaire when they will be able to mine asteroids, Elon musk might be one of the fav candidates to become one with his space X and now Star link and neuralink too, if not first billionaire he will ceterenely become the richest person

Those people are just pawns.Their are people that more more richer than them that hide money in tax havens. :D

Chapeau! When you think about it, people do believe someone can get that high without commissioned laws from above. In my opinion, people like Zuck, Bill and Jeff are just arrows sent from high above. Façades.

There is no doubt one already, people with money or at least vast sums of it get very good at hiding it and no one really knows how much they have stashed away. Plus if I was hiding money around the place I don't think id want to be broadcasted as being the first trillionair, imagine the outcry, calls of tax and scrutiny...

Pablo Escobar would've been a trillionaire if he was still alive!

Such a man will become a threat, but only to him/herself in the first place. That would make one a perfect target because just about any force (governments, criminal organizations, etc) in this world would like to gain control over such a person. I would not want to be in his/her shoes, really.

Ha, what was the point in having all that money, if he could not even visit any other place in this world outside the shithole where he lived?
