Where do major record labels buy youtube views from?

yea but a lot of money needs to be spend to advertise to get huge traffic and wide audience reach and view boost after the initial release of a song like a big music video etc . radio isn't as big as the internet. youtube/Google/social media advertising can reach a wider audience than radio lol

Do you know how many people listen to the radio. The song will get pushed to all major radio stations, it will get published on that artists social media. That how it works there is no magic formula. I think you are underestimating how large and wide of audience radio offers.

Sourced from Radiostation:

The latest figures confirm that overall radio listening remains strong with nine out of ten people (89.2% of the population) tuning in each week for an average of 20.8 hours. Commercial radio alone recorded a total weekly audience of 35.5 million people, higher than the BBC for the sixth consecutive quarter. - 2018

89.2% of people (I think this is UK) listen to the radio. The music industry does not need to do PPC, Google ads or any of that other crap to launch a new track or band.

The money they spend on videos, promotions means nothing. They have been doing that since the start of the music industry! What ever they spend they get back X times over.

u can target your audience with Google adwords can't do that on radio.

source?? of ur radio vs internet statistics show me

I'm assuming you must have had a late night because no one can be that fucking stupid. I'll give you some credit because you can operate a keyboard.

People listen to the radio for news & music. What get's played? music. You can't get a larger fucking audience than that. Your targeting people who are tuning in for that specific reason.

lol

lol 9 out of 10 people. none of my friends or family listen to radio. everyone uses YouTube or internet sites

Gotta give it up for the radio, though. It's suprsingly resilient for such an old tech.

Like I said people tune into radio to listen to music and news. You can't target your audience any better than that.

Before you say that's a UK source here's a US one and LOOK

https://newsgeneration.com/broadcast-resources/radio-facts-and-figures/

  • Radio is the leading reach platform: 93% of us listen to AM/FM radio over the airwaves, which is higher than TV viewership (88%), PC use (50%), smartphone use (83%), and tablet use (37%)

also when it's a music video most of the time, what gets released are music video by big artists. so can ur radio show video? no

more people will go to YouTube coz they can see the video plus audio. music videos are famous, on top of that how many people can replay music from radio?? haha they need to wait for the track to be played again?? lmao. on youtube they go to a party, just search the music or Playlist plus connect to speaker and done easy. get more replays.

when an advertiser advertises music on radio, if someone wasn't listening at the time the music was played, they missed it. on google/youtube when the user logins anytime of the day it can get recommended to them. they won't miss it. good luck lmao. internet is more effective to advertise than ur silly radio lol

It's not just that it's easily accessible, it does not cost anything to listen to it. All you need is some kind of radio and it does not have to be anything fancy.

Oh yeah silly me. That's the whole point of music - to watch a video not to listen.

Are you confusing the movie industry with the music industry?

Time of day LOL. Radio stations repeat music. It's on ALL the time. You can't target me to listen to the new band if I've never shown an interest in them or that kind of music.

Fuck me you really are thick as shit - and you want to do marketing? You are claiming the biggest medium for that industry is flawed and does not work because of the "internet"

lol

Radio is one of the most powerful mediums in the United States, with a weekly reach of around 90 percent among adults. There are over 15,500 radio stations in the U.S., all competing for a piece of this massive market. WTOP, a station operating out of Washington D.C. is the largest of its kind in the U.S., pulling in almost 68 million U.S. dollars in yearly revenue. Online radio is also playing an increasing role in the radio market, with an estimated 57 percent of the U.S. population listening to online radio on a monthly basis in 2018.

As of 2018, Americans averaged 106 minutes of radio listening time per day, with much of this time being spent while commuting.

bro don't be dumb. in 2019 all the big vevo artists all have music videos. so many people watch the video. it adds to the art and makes everything better. dua lipa, Justin bieber, all have great music videos. good luck trying to defend ur outdated radio lol. music videos also make the whole thing even better

You can't target your audience any better than that.

Yes you can. Music is a broad term. But yaa you're right, radio is still one of the leading media right now - surprisingly.

It's not just that it's easily accessible, it does not cost anything to listen to it. All you need is some kind of radio and it does not have to be anything fancy.

True. Whereas internet has bandwith and data and all that.

still more internet users than radio

it's still outdated lol
still more internet users than radio

It's not outdated - it's still in use. I just proven that to you.

I shown you the facts to prove my argument that for the music industry there is no better medium to publish and market a new band or track - the radio.

You can't accept that and all you can come back with is still more internet users. Which has nothing to do with my point or what you asked me to prove to you.

I can only assume you are a child.

lmao u said radio stations repeat music all the time. yes every person knows that, do the repeat the same music continuously? after it ends? no they play a complete set of different music tracks, u have to wait for all those to finish to listen to it again, so if a person was on the way to work or school listening, if it was played at a different time, then they missed it. if it is internet or youtube, when they online, boom recommended, or can watch later . so keep crying on here it's ok

You can't accept that and all you can come back with is still more internet users. Which has nothing to do with my point or what you asked me to prove to you.

bla bla bla show me there are more radio users then Internet users, u didn't show me the stats of that just showing me about radio again and again.
