People were bagging on him for thinking 5 bucks would get you anything other than shit. For 20 bucks one could expect a little bit more.

I left siteground as they wasn't good for me hosting issues and lag. Also, they don't have cpanel anymore which is ridiculous for me.

Why they chose to get rid of cpanel is beyond me. Their new dashboard is an awful attempt of replicating that

Yeah you're definitely getting what you pay for, but they do have some issues that make them hard to work with sometimes

If you're using wordpress to build your sites I'd suggest WPX. I switched to them after siteground and most of my issues have been resolved. It's more expensive but if you can get your clients to buy into a maitenance/hosting plan then it covers the cost quite well and you make some good money off that with scale

Important thing to note is inodes. Inodes is the number of files that a website makes. You get 300,000 inodes with grow big. Its not in the plan details. Totally hidden when you sign up for the plan.
So as you can see i have already used 40% inodes with only 20% web space. So i am only gonna use half webspace , 10GB , before i run out of inodes . Right now i got 22 sites with 40% inodes used. That means i got around 28 more websites left before i run out of inodes. I got 1 1/2 years more to go with that plan.

So is siteground grow big a scam? You decide.

Gee , 22 sites ??? whats our main target ? why so many sites? Adsense? E com ? IM ? or mixture?

how you maintain it , surely need to add content or edit etc , than promote , SEO .

So, what did you expect? 100s of sites for $5.95 and with top site speed even with Millions of hits? Why would anybody ever get AWS,Google Cloud, load balancing etc.. if you could get it for $6...

Come one... Even when you state 50 sites for $6 ,
--> that's $0.12 per month on hosting per site... + maybe another $1 for the domain, so _--> less than $2 per month per site...

I got about 8 of mine that I am working on and rest are dev sites for the webdesign work that I do and give demo to clients. It's only 6 months since I got the hosting , 22 site may seems a lot but believe me it's not and I got 1 1/2 years more to go with the plan.

I see now , you gotta really dig deep to see that, I can't hover , I am using a tablet I gotta click Evey link on the page to get to it.
The thing is it's not listed next to or near the webspace. It's like 5 - 6 clicks away hidden inside hover. It's listed right next to webspace under account stats.
Did you get my point ? When it's comes to selling it's hidden way deep , when it comes to providing service it's right next to webspace.

Yeah, I canned them a bit ago as I used them for some of my sites.

The dashboard is a mess and the support is like asking to get punched in the neck.

Not scam - you get what you paid for.
You can't expect more than that for $5.95 p/m.

If you really think $5.95 p/m equates to unlimited sites, I'd like to sell you a bridge in Africa.

It's not a scam but it's also not ethical to list it as unlimited. However you can definitely have a decent sized list of sites on your hosting plan.

Because they have to make backups and copy your data every day or week.
more files more time.
Many hosting companies do such things.

The inodes limit is stupid. Why should the number of files be important? It should only be disk space and bandwidth.
