Any good growth method for Facebook pages?

Two years ago I did the generic like this page, like the post and tag 3 friends advert. It helped me grow a page to 18k fans quite quickly. Now I see Facebook don't let you use ads to "like this page" on competitions. Does anyone know if there's a way around this or suitable alternative?

I thought about this but haven't paid for ads in a while. I boosted the competition I refer to for engagement then it took care of itself. By this do you mean boost posts to 3rd world countries or directly pay for followers from 3rd world countries?

Do you have any other methods for a business page that is already at around 300 likes and cant risk being deleted??

You could always do some sort of a giveaway and require people to like your page and the post to enter.

Apparently this is against Facebooks terms and conditions now so Im not sure if theyd limit the reach of it
