I was searching for a niche and keywords using ahref and found some good ones.
The keywords difficulty ranges from 4 to 25 and they have decent monthly search volumes as well.
Now my question is, what other factors should I look into before jumping on to those keywords? Is kD of ahref a reliable metric and should I start working on those keywords?
Need your opinions, please guide.

Looking at the first 10 competitors.
what are the things I should look for?
The sites ranking for those keywords do not have an in-depth content... Can I outrank them with just good content?

check the UR and DR also, sometimes ahrefs shows "easy" keywords, but when you have wikipedia and webmed up there it will be hard, even if they are not targeting the keyword 100%, also from my experience 4 to 25 wont be a easy niche

Check how strong those websites are (their DR, number of RDs), check what the length of their content is (number of words), what keywords are they targeting - do they target this keyword specifically, or rank with more general content, do they have links to this pages directly.. For example if the website is some beast with 90+ DR and thousands of RDs and the article is specifically for the topic you plan to compete for.. well even if they did not have links to this specific page you will have really, really hard time to ourank them. But if saw its more general article ranking there simply because there is nothing better around, go for it.
