It's Google's Broad Core Algo Update for Sept 2019

I think we've just experienced a Google Nopedate.
I agree - Without trying to sound like a broken record: Still can't see any differences on any of my sites.

Maybe they only hit a specific niche, such as Health? Something to do with YMYL maybe. Would explain why some people here seem to get hit in some sort of update, while the rest aren't. But it could also be standard fluctuation too.

EDIT: Spot-checked two sites on Semrush instead of just rank positions, and both have a traffic boost in this update. So, something seems to have changed after all.

This comment probably might be a shit post but in my opinion I think google is experimenting stuff.

I don't know if Google and Ahrefs is related but one of my site got bumped from ahrefs rank 21m to 13m without any new backlink!

My slow rising in rankings has stopped, but no major changes in here. Quality content and natural backlinks do not get hurt that much I guess :)

My traffic dropped by some 40% but the rankings are about the same (with a few drops here and there). The biggest difference was CTR, when I looked at my Webmasters Tools I saw a drop of about 50%...

Interestingly enough, I experienced the biggest traffic drop on a page where I'm currently occupying position 0. The results look ok on desktop but when I looked at the SERPs on my mobile phone, I saw that Google has added their "Health conditions related to this search" cards as well as "People also ask" tab above my result. I mean, I know Google wants to keep people on their search page as much as they can, but giving them a list of related questions above their actual search term seems a bit retarded, especially when the list of related questions is exactly what my article is all about.

seeing fluctuations on one of my site on keywords which are on 20+. They are dropping and coming back with changes everyday. Lets wait for the rankings to stabilise
update:

The traffic is down from around 400 unique to 200 unique, around 40-50% drop in traffic. Did no backlinks to the site, only added unique engaging content. In my experience, don't need to change anything and the traffic recovers in around 1 month if major keywords are staying in positions, which are still there in my case.

I am waiting to outrank that competitor with 300 words articles.

Wish me luck, let's hope they give more trust to long content, nothing happens yet on my sites.

Are your sites in English or other language?

This does reek of shit post but I can't quite put my finger on what makes it a shit post.

They're in English.

EDIT: Checked another one of mine that was quite abandoned:

Another one has -27%, but slowly since August. I need to do a proper check tomorrow of all the sites.

EDIT 2:

Another one of mine.. ouch. There was definitely an update.

Has anyone else experienced their traffic dropping but their impressions going up? Any idea why that's happening?

I don't understand what you mean. You only have one keyword? Or did your average ranking go from position 20 to 8 for your whole website? If so how many keywords?

Main keyword.... of course there are more.. lol
