Can you clarify you do like 1 article = 1 low comp keyword (use key in title and in the article)? In that case you must have 1000 articles to gain 1000 visitors.
Are you in competitive niche?
Traffic without backlinks is it possible?

I think it is does work only if you have near 100K articles on the website.

Here's a quick insight in how it looks.
I'd say it's medium competitive niche, but with right KW research and right approach any niche can be tackled.

You started month ago and have traffic? How much articles do you have? Do you have experienced domain or new? Where do you get your articles? Do you have traffic from Tier-1?

Well if you can call it a traffic, yea. Domain is old 3 months and I started adding articles exactly 45 days ago. In between I just worked on the website and added few articles.
I wrote some of my articles ~10k words and I paid for the rest. Still didn't manage to find a good writer though. If anyone considers himself to be one, hit me up.
Regarding the Tier question, here's the stats:
So the point is yea, you can get traffic and rank without backlinks. Key points are good keyword research and quality articles.

I think its possible. You might even start to rank for other keywords you did not think of that people are searching for and you can branch off and do the same strategy for those keywords so you rise up in rank for them and gain even more traffic while driving traffic simultaneously for the original long tail keyword plan. Thats actually how I started SEO.. ranking for many long tail keywords, rising up in rank with them and then branching off.

All depend on your skills, niche, domain and many other things.
Just start doing - then compare.
More you will do, more experience you will get.

You mean if somebody targets low comp keywords it possible? Or without backlinks impossible to target low comp keywords too?

Comparing keywords on just number of monthly searches - not giving any real picture of situation.
For example:
Long tail KW containing "free wallpapers" with 100 searches per month.
Long tail KW containing "luxury cars" with 100 searches per month.
Now let's think, how much money you can earn with just 1% of conversion.
In first example it could be just 1$
In second example it could be $10 000
The only real picture of situation you will get by checking BL.
Without Ahrefs or Majestic - you are not able to compare competition in both cases with same number of monthly searches.
So, many people have just an illusion about "simple keyword" when they not using any BL tool.
As the result, they haven't any chance to get high position in Google.
Especially when they comparing stupid metrics such DR or DA.
And usually they are talking "It's definitely impossible"

i had a 3 blogs with zero backlink but i get 3500 plus visitors per day .
it's all about your nich and keywourd. yes in 2k13 2k14 backlink was a important but in 2k16 2k17 2k18 2k19 is not.
and yes there a important things if you get organic traffic you should be a smart when you choise your topics .
for example i open a blog in blogger(.com) since one month but i drive more than 2OO visitors per day.
