Facebook Ad Account Blocked - WHAT?!

Hi guys.
Yesterday night I created an ad in my FB ads manager. No blackhat. No restricted things. Just uhm... casual clothing, lifestyle brand. I was doing ads for this many times before.
My ad didn't got approved. I didn't know why, so I decided to not create a new post, but choose an existing from fanpage. Then... My ad account got block instantly.

I have been watching some videos about this and a lot of people know what I say. It's probably because of their alghorithm - you can do everything alright and you still can get a block.

I wrote to FB support but as I get to know - it probably won't help me.

What do you think? Create new ad account? What can I do now?

Wait for their reply if you made an appeal. Usually if this is the first time it gets disabled, they will make it active again

Yes, you can wait, but the FB support isn't very helpful, better create a new account. Make sure you use a new IP for this.

I'm sorry that happened to you. The closest I came to my account being blocked was FB asking to verify who I was on a FB Ad account. Luckily I had a FB representative so all it took was a phone call to get that fixed. What I did though afterwards, was to add a second manager to my Ad account. When you get things back to normal you probably should do this as well if you haven't already. This could be your secondary FB account or someone else you trust. That way, you'll always have access to the account if something crazy were to happen. Probably might not help much if your account is blocked but it's helped me in other ways. For now my advise is to wait it out. Wait to see what they say. It's probably an algorithm thing and once they verify that you didn't break any rules, they should ideally reinstate your account. If you create a new account, you'd be breaking their terms for having multiple accounts especially since you have to link a payment system to that account. It's different if it's just a FB account you want to use for other things apart from Ads. In that case, you could have a million FB if you can get away with it.

And if you do eventually create a new account, chances are that your payment system on your current blocked FB Ad account has the same footprints as the one you'd use for the new account. Something to keep in mind if you go this route as I'm sure they have a way to track little things like that. I'll say to wait a few days if possible, and if no one helps, you can try working out something else like suggested above, with a different IP and of course, different payment system if possible. I know of incidents were people got blocked for breaking some ad rules like using wrong choice of words, inappropriate images, sensitive topics, etc that are not allowed. Some of them did get the block removed but some weren't as lucky. I do hope yours get unblocked, but meanwhile, I hope you have no current ads that are running and getting billed while you don't have access to the account. I assume not. Let us know what happens though and good luck.

They just apologized to me and activated my account again. Lol. Do you have an idea how to prevent situations like this in the future?
Still saying: nothing illegal

Maybe try using pictures with not much info on them, also try making campaigns not aggressive as in if you are making clothes for fat persons don't say in the ad that it will make you look slimmer, since you can not prove facebook it can. Like never assure something, be very smart with what words, and images you use. And if a picture is not approved don't use it again, use new ones always. Also the info never copy the info from somebody else, use your own.

I used something like "x x x FOR THAT CHEAP?!"

Yes it could be, because most of the time when you use those type of words, they link it to either replicas, or things like that so try changing words that is the most important on facebook

So so glad I did! You can't really do much to prevent it from happening. I'll think they would have marked your account "safe" at this time and you probably won't be getting blocked again, but, never say never. I'll just say to keep doing what you've been doing right and if you ever come to that bridge again, you cross it and this time around, demand for a coupon or some discount on your ad fees.... if they block you again, they need to do more than just apologize. Your next ad should be on them But I am glad it was resolved rather quickly for you and you can get back to spending money on them!

Smh... I added another ad, with other photo and text with brand, description of brand, link and 2 emoji’s. And.... They didn’t approved another time. Are there a possibility to check why is this happening?

I was running almost the same ads on my personal (Not company) ad account and it was everything good. It’s horrible...

I probably just realized what what I have been doing wrong...
I was creating campaigns with target: conversions, when I had loaded pixel for another domain

Yes and no... you can.

The Yes Part: When they disapprove your ads, they usually give you a hint of what you did or are doing wrong. You probably got a message similar to this (my example is from one of my ads that had been active for almost a year and they suddenly decided it didn't meet their policies any longer):

"We have reviewed your ad more closely and have determined it doesn't comply with our Advertising Policies. This ad will not be active any longer until you edit it to comply with policy. You can click the ad name below to see why it wasn't approved and make edits."

When I clicked on the link, it told me what had changed. I don't have a lot of new ads that are not approved but I'm sure the message is similar for a new ad that's yet to be active.

The No Part: The message you get when you click on that link can be vague sometimes and you could be no further than were you started. In my most recent disapproved ad, they wanted me to keep the text on my image under 20% and once I fixed that, they approved the ad. So, they were specific enough and I appreciated that.

But, it does look like you found the solution to your issue so perhaps this will come in handy later.

I had an ad account blocked before because I named the product SPY USB Stick lol, and they blocked the ad acccount. I changed the name and they reactivated my account.

I had implemented pixel from my personal ad account, and implemented pixel on Facebook Marketing Shopify App from business account. + I had personal account pixel on ads that were for business acount
I've just had to delete the app, change pixels to one and everything's fine. Thank you missmyrah!
