User Experience goes hand in hand with SEO!! Can't suggest this highly enough. User experience is the functionality of your website.

A) Make sure your site map is simple and well organized with no 404 traps. We don't want your users to get stuck.

B) Another simple thing is to make sure your content is optimized for proving value so your specific audience. As a result, they'll stay on pages longer. Another thing to keep note of is that since we are in the West (I'm assuming), we tend to read left to right in an F shape when skimming. Put your most important content in the top left. And optimize it for skimmeability.

C) Makes sure your website has compressed images (jpg format preferably).

There are ton's of UX Checks you can run as well. But here's a free chrome extension that helps beginners check their website.
UX Check makes heuristic evaluations quick and easy. The extension will open up Nielsen's Ten Heuristics in a side panel next to your website.
