I am brand new to link building or have been doing it for a while. I wanted to know that may I continue the process or stop and move another option.

Very vague question. How many/what type of links have you built? You can take it easier with the linkbuilding when you hit #1 for your keywords. Make sure youre on-page and articles/content is on point too.

See this in above guide:
This guide won't provide any secrets that'll automatically rank your site first in Google (sorry!)

As per me secret is link building.
Links are the best path for Google search bot and spiders to reach to your site and understand its popularity.

Thanks for your inputs, it will really help me.

Consistency and relevancy. Proper content. Active social media. That’s the secret.

Also try and get more referring domains. It’s better to get 50 links from 50 sites than 50 links from 5 sites.

Good luck!

Making links is important because it is a major factor in how Google ranks web pages. Google notes that: "In general, webmasters can increase their site's ranking by increasing the number of high-quality sites linked to their pages. Trust and authority of the linked page.

As it was said above, links help search engine crawlers to find their way to your website/pages that you want to rank, also it's like a message for them that your site is something people can trust because other websites/users are linking to you. Latter depends on the quality of linked website, subject similarity of the website/page that is linked to you, context of used link, engagement of users, social signals etc. If you're doing everything right (as Google like to say "post quality content") and getting quality links - you'll be fine, but it's possible that you will see your results only in 3-4 months

Someone on some thread posted a niel patel's case study that says multilinks from same domains is also good.

Do you have real-time experience with what you said above.

Without Link building, your website won't be able to get huge traffic flow.

Linkbuilding is the heart throab that Google identifies you site as it considers the traffic coming from legit source. So keep going

Backlinking is among the few factors that Google chose to rank website's, i would say backlinks + social signals is a must for any website.
Quality > Quantity
If you build backlinks without knowing why is important, then you should stop doing it, you might do more harm than good.

Use multiquote feature in future just like I did to avoid any penalty from MODs.

Yes, I’m trying to do that for a client and the results are positive for now.

Before, he was stuck at page 4-5. We disavowed some crappy links, we tried to fix the content as much as possible and always stick to the posting schedule (3 posts a week) + daily updates on old articles.

In the last 3-4 months we got like 200 quality links from 150+ domains and once we hit 950ish RD he showed up on 7th position on page one(he’s stuck there now).

Page 2 sites have an average of 700 RD whilist page 1 competitors have 1.5k RD and their link building velocity is much higher due to the budget.

I’ll be able to provide more info in the upcoming months when we stick to this plan. For now we’re doing this for a total of 6 months.

None of them explained why it's important
Let's say you sare searching "offline" for a good plumber and you start asking people and they say x Is a good person
that recommendation is like a backlink to that person, it builds trustability
that's how google work
