I want to start a Big Giveaway for an online store. Now im thinking of sending all Entrys directly to WhatsApp to Build a WhatsApp List instead of an E-Mail List.

The opening rate is really high and its easy to enter.

What do you guys think about this idea?

Main traffic source will be Instagram so 99% of the ppl who see the giveaway will be on their mobile phone. I think the only problem is the privacy, a few ppl won’t enter bcs they have to share their mobile number.

Allow people to enter twice. Once on WhatsApp and once through email. You get the best of both worlds this way.

Not sure about this. I think If you let ppl decide they will always choose E-Mail even if they would enter with WhatsApp but only if no other possibility exists.

That's why you offer them two entries if they do both. Many people will do both to get extra entries.

I think messengers are more usable now that emails.

Next to WhatsApp, try to get their e-mails man, it's the best combination for such niche of giveaways.
If they is the e-mail, they get the SMS, they miss the SMS they get the e-mail.
