  • Scan of front and back of US driver's license or other government-issued ID
  • Verification of address via postcard mailed to a residential US address
  • Multi-step question-based verification
  • Manual approval from Facebook
They are super cracking down on this.

i kill the mother/child acc method
+giving away a free hat a week to generate more traffic

but i did have interest in going Facebook ad thank you for that info but for selling merchandise they give you that much trouble?

That was geared mainly towards those who see this and plan to use Facebook ads for a potential revenue stream. Since Instagram is owned by Facebook, it surely won't be long until that platform is hit with the same protocols.

We were advertising a non-political blog post that relates to our company, and weren't trying to sell a thing, and we got hit by this. I assume merchandise with a political spin would be even more likely to be struck.

We manage an FB ad account for a pretty decent sized Political NGO.

Since we're not in the US - these requirements hit us hard.

Fortunately, I have friends in the US. We managed to get a proxy agency in the US that worked as an intermediary with us managing the campaign - but it being on their business account.

Had to sign several NDAs and then some. Also, a contract that made us liable in the event of any legal proceedings. Fun fucking times.

TL;DR - FB Political Ads have a huge barrier to entry now. Even organic reach is fucked. FB is in the "Once bitten, twice shy" mode.

It's the other way around. Bernie 2020 or Warren 2020, that's because Trump supporters are mostly Facebook users and as others pointed out, you can't advertise on FB anymore, whereas Bernie or Warren supporters are mostly below middle-age and you can find them on Instagram, Snapchat, etc.

PS. Due to the political tensions over 2016 Elections and what happened on FB, i'm 90% certain that all ad networks will be pressured by US to make the same restrictions as FB, including Google, Instagram, Snapchat, Bing and many more.

Even if you get past verifications, which magicians do, you are likely to get violated by insane CPM's.

I've been wrestling with a project I'm working on, I'm using a political angle:

Yeah I'm thinking of riding this train with a few pod shops but I dont want to spread myself too thin. I'm worried I have left it way too late even though I thought about getting started when I read the thread Bass shared above when he first shared it.

Those cost are insane ! I’m keeping my traffic with instagram child accounts do all work no ads just political meme pages that promote my Merch
