Great contribution to save the planet OP. Thing though is one has to be rich enough to buy electric cars to be able to save the planet the way you do.

Thanks. It's a little contribution. In the country I reside now, there is tax benefits for plug in hybrid cars based on how many KW or battery the cars has. Wish everyone can do little from their end in what ever ways possible..

Planting trees will reduce global warming effect..

I live in a shithole country that gives zero fucks about climate so yes I do believe it because I've seen the first hand effects of climate change in here due to pollution/deforestation.

Wish everyone can use Electric stoves, which will avoid pollution from within home. To my knowledge, most of the countries have access to that..

I`ve just talked with my father about that, heavy short rains come from nowhere here. I`ve never seen in 30 years this shit.

Yes..I believe in climate change and global warming. That why temparture is increasing

As I spend some time in Ireland I have definitely noticed a change, no real seasons just wet rain and bit of sun. Had a heatwave last year which was lovely, most summers get week or two of sun and back to rain wind and cold

People say "lets save the planet!" but I think that's a little inaccurate. The planet will be fine eventually no matter what we do to it. We could set off every nuke in the world and eventually it would recover. Make the air so toxic nothing can survive. Doesn't matter, eventually life would recover. It would take a incomprehensible amount of time to us but the planet would be fine.

The real problem is that the planet would not be able to support human life if we go down those routes.

So a more accurate phrase would be let's save humanity not the planet.

A long time ago I studied environmental protection on AGH University. I remember when we talked with professor about climate change - he said something like:
We have little or close to zero influence on climate change, and current climate warming may be a prologue to another Ice Age ;)

I'm not. It's perfectly normal for continental climate to have very little amount to no rainfall for months and have an extremely rainy May with temperatures so low that heating is needed. Now, one or two weeks later in June the weather sets multiple historical temperature records...

Leo has a great docu on the subject: Ice on Fire. It's not the usual stuff, worth a watch.

Maybe "believe" is the wrong term. There IS a climate change. There have been climate changes long time before humans or life existed on earth. The question is: "Does our behaviour, industry etc. fasten the climate change or make it even worse?" Yes, I think so. Our planet has limited resources, but our system is based on endless growth. It can not work out. Keep in mind the population is growing and growing! From this point of view things will go downhill even more in future.

The climate change is a task, which all humans and countries have to solve TOGETHER, but as long as there are conflicts with the people, nations etc. I don't think this can work.

Yes, I remember growing up playing outside in the summer and it was sunny!
Last few years the summers here are super cloudy. This year the sun has only been out for a handful of days, or if it does come out you will see the sun for 1 hour and it will go away.
Something is definitely changing, also a ton of rain and floods the last few years.

Global warming is a hoax. Climate change, on the other hand, has some truth, but its not related to human behaviour. The climate has been changing since the wolrd has been created. Its a normal and natural thing happening for over millions of years. Did you know that the temperature of the planet used to be 2 degrees hotter then it is today? The climate is still an unknown natural event that needs much research. Now if you are thinking about global warming, do you know if the water levels rise only 10ft half of the USA will be gone as well as other continents? And in that case if we do know that we cant do anything about it, why are banks giving loans or investing in real estate on the sea side? If they know that all of it is going to be lost. It makes no sense. I did some research on the climate and as it seems to me, the humans destroying the climate is complete bs. Its just a psychological, or manipulating story to get you to do things that the government wants. In that way you will do as told so that they can keep control. Lol this sounds like conspiracy but its true and control of everything is a sickness that people get when they gwt a grip of power

As a farmer I think the climate has changed - I can see it. Reflected in how long / late / early the growing seasons are at the moment not to mention the weather patterns changing. But then it's all a cycle.

Global warming. Not sure on that one. It's pushed too much by the media and governments for me to give it that much credibility. Don't think we have enough historical data to say what the effect is, after all the globe was once hot as it was cold, everything is a circle and a pattern that comes around who's to say we are not heading towards a warming cycle.

It's the whole plastic thing again here in the UK they keep pushing US the consumer to use less plastic when the focus should be on the manufacture nothing is being done there - yet if I go to the supermarket after introducing a bag tax (5p - 15p for a plastic bag) they now wrap the meat and or fish in a small plastic bag for free.. makes zero sense.

UK gov also had pushed everyone to start buying diesel cars - everyone got suckered into it and now they want to tax you higher for driving a diesel more so if you are in a congested area. It's always pushed that "WE" (the public) should be doing something but when other nations don't do anything nor does the government or world leaders push anything on them countries to make change then I can't see there being that much of a threat - they like to pass the blame to keep us in check.

If the government says to do one thing or has an agenda to push some view on us/me id always rather do the opposite.

Normally, yes. We shouldn't have much effect and we didn't have much for long. It shouldn't have any visible effects in one's life, simply because we don't live long enough. But things have changed and this is not the case anymore. There are a lot more of us now, we have a lot bigger impact.
How would this be the prologue of another ice age, when the temperature goes up globally and every kind of ice is melting wordlwide be it glaciers on the mountains or shelf ice? It totally fucks up the streams and winds, which leads to extremities in the weather.
"The onset of an ice age is related to the Milankovitch cycles - where regular changes in the Earth's tilt and orbit combine to affect which areas on Earth get more or less solar radiation. When all these factors align so the northern hemisphere gets less solar radiation in summer, an ice age can be started."
Now explain me one thing, if the northern hemisphere gets less solar radiation (because that's how an ice age starts), how come that the ice is melting there too?
We're supposed to be in an interglaciar now, which is a warmer period between two glaciars, but we might not see another glaciar, exactly because of increased human activity.

I believe it and already heat is risen every year here

Yes. I believe in Global warming. Day Zero is happening in Southern India. Especially in Tamil Nadu.

can't you feel or notice the changes, is it the same temperature is it same seasons i remember 10y back that when it's winter it rains nowadays winter is just a part of summer that rain 1 per 2~3 weeks
